First up: Can someone with a better memory and eye for detail tell me if we've seen Mary Ann's contact in previous episodes?

Quick reactions:

The Araz storyline is still bringing quality to my television, but his dad is more inept every day.

Driscoll's daughter is... possibly dying? The storyline has all the markings of something major, but we haven't seen any real consequence from it yet, at least as far as Driscoll's job performane is concerned. I imagine we will at some point.

They cut to commercial as Jack picked up the phone. Anyone else predicting a call to ex-President David Palmer? I know I was. And then motherfucking TONY~! That was insane. I yelled at my TV. And the soul patch in full effect, for those who appreciate such things.

I also loved the ending. Heller knows what he's talking about. Need to stop six nuclear reactors from exploding? Contact Jack Bauer. Damn right.

Next week!: Sarah is framed! I predict she is cleared by the end of the episode, but by then Mary Ann has escaped.

Edit: In my 24 excitement, I forgot to use the official thread icon.

Yeah that was freaking awesome, I was expecting a call to Chloe at first for some reason. Tony was a much better choice...I was also kind of hoping for Chase just so we could get Kim and her wacky storylines back.

For some reason I´m starting to get the reason that Heller is in on this some how. Just seeing what Papa Araz will do for the cause makes me think that Heller might have been willing to do the same. I know its a major stretch and there are no plot indications for this, just a crazy thought. My only backup for it is that there is always someone supposedly on the good side who turns bigtime not in the Mary Anne kind of way, but shockingly.

I thought that Marianne's contact was the person that Audrey recognized at the industrial warehouse, but I could be wrong on that.

I love the Araz thing as well. I thought that NOTHING could make Dina sympathetic after she killed Debbie, but watching her risk her life for Behrooz was great. I also think that Maya dying on the spot would have made an amazing story arc, as Erin could be considered exponentially more sympathetic and tough by trudging on in the face of it.

I noticed that they added Lana Parilla to the opening credits, which makes me think that Sarah's arrest may be a major storyline. Speaking of credits, leaving Carlos Bernard off of them was a sweet move...it was so awesome to see Tony and the soul patch. I hope he sticks around, he pretty much rules.

I too went in my mind to Chloe or Chase. Tony didn't enter my mind at all--thank goodness. Seeing his face was as great a mark-out moment as you could ask for. I shouted "Holy shit!" and celebrated like crazy. Fifteen minutes later I'm still totally pumped up. WOO-HOOO!

Tony was cool but did he teleport his ass there? I mean Jack called him and then he got there less than 10 minutes later. Does he live in Burbank? I am glad that they are resolving the Tony story line from last year though.

So after last night's episode, there were two things that I wanted to say:

So, thanks, guys, for saying my exact words. Couldn't have put it any better myself.

I thought of Chloe, because she was the only one he could trust at CTU this season . But Tony. . . wow.

I thought the same thing, but I figured, screw it, that was a great surprise, and well worth the gap in logic. Now, I could also wonder why he isn't in jail for treason (that was what was supposed to happen, wasn't it?), but hey, who cares?

And they really did do a treamendous job making Dina sympathetic. Before this week, I thought she was pure evil, but now not so much.

That's an interesting point about Heller being involved. Did we ever find out how the terrorists knew he was there? Of course, on the other hand, it looks like they were gonna actually kill him, so I think that's unlikely.

And I think Edgar's nifty maneuvering with the "kernals" really made him much better IMO.

24 was great. Keep 'em comin'.

About the Tony (biggest markout moment of the series) time thing. They made sure to note early in the episode that the security building was only about 5-10 minutes away from CTU. We don't really know what Tony's been doing so its not a huge stretch to think that he still lives in the area.

I keep thinking that Audrey's whiny estranged husband is somehow connected to this in a much bigger way. Remember, only a couple people knew where Heller was and he's one of the few people that probably could have access to that information. Plus, he sure got to CTU fast from London (I think).

Forgive me if I've just missed something, but this is the first season I've seen and can't for the life of me figure out why they just let this guy wander around CTU at will?

Are you sure about that? Because I thought Jack and Audrey were in the car for almost a half hour. Which seems kind of surprising since every place seems to be within five minutes of each other this year.

That's been my only complaint this season. The timing has been really off and I never noticied it being this obvious so often in previous seasons.

What's wrong with Horse Racing channels? There's tons of tracks and races to be covered, and some people are really into it. It's no crazier than an NBA channel or an NFL channel, Golf channel, etc.... As you can tell, I happen to like horse racing.
