I'm scrolling through my digital guide on the cable and I see a bunch of new channels I didn't know had been added.
A couple are religious channels (which I will soon deprogram), but the others... There are six Spanish channels, including ESPN Deportes, Telemundo and Galavision.
Yes, I can finally watch LUCHA again.
BUT... The channels weren't coming in.
So, I call the (name of cable company) CSR and ask about the channels. The nice guy that I talked to told me they all went active this week, but the channels were designed primarily for their hispanic subscribes, plus they are a premium channel. ($2 a month)
Well, I tell the guy that I want them anyway, since one of them is hte ESPN Spanish channel and the other has Mexican wrestling.
Then, the guy gets all excited and while he's hooking me up, we talk about Rey Mistero and Psicosis and others of the WCW luchadores.
End result, I end up convincing the guy to get the package, even though he doesn't speak Spanish?
So, GURU, how often to customers talk CSRs into buying packages? Shouldn't I get like a free month or something?
A few years ago, me & a couple of my buddies would call each other up & watch that show on Saturday afternoons while we were on the phone.
I watched a piece of it yesterday, and I swear the girls are even hotter now. And they got rid of all the pesky male dancers/audience members who were always getting in the way (The men/women ratio is like 2-10 now). Good stuff.
Originally posted by odessasteps When I worked at the comics store, we always carved out time Saturday afternoon to watch CALIENTE!, for all the extremely hot Latina chicks.
Caliente(!) is the greatest show in the history of TV ever. Saturdays at 2pm Eastern was the highlight of the week.
I've been lucky enough to participate at two tapings of Caliente!, one here in Puerto Rico, that while good, was more artist oriented than the usual show. Now...the Miami show I attended, a whole different story; without a doubt the place where I saw more HOT as in "I can't believe these woman are for real HOT" ever. A mix of latinas, anglos, asian...uff...un real, dancing to reggaeton and latin hip hop in bikinis all day (the usually shoot a month worth of shows in a weekend). This show I was working as an assistant since my pal works for Univision, many were your typical model divas, but a surprising lot were down to earth and fun. Suffice to say, I stayed a couple of extra days partying with the crew at South Beach. For more hot latinas that work for Univision, visit Univision.com and write caliente on the upper search box where it says Uniclave. Also go around the site, lots of pics like Jackie Garrido, the incredibly hot weather girl from the news.
Rod Roddy was 17 years with the Price is Right. When I read that I thought it couldn't be right then I did the math in my head and it would be around 17 years since he's been on and Johnny Olson passed away.
