Here's a good read from WWE.com on Scotty 2 Hotty and his return from a cancer scare. Kudos to WWE for putting him in the Rumble.

Well, THAT explains how he ended up in the Rumble. Still, good on WWE for at least giving the guy that spot. And that's great news to hear that they've removed the tumor...

Can't wait to pass on the good news - my mother-in-law is a huge Scotty mark. Glad to hear he is doing well!

As someone that has had a benign tumor removed, I can relate. It's one hell of a relief.

And any time I see "Westbrook, Maine"..I can't help but giggle a little.

He's lucky that the tumor wasn't spreading. They would have had to call him Scotty 1 Hotty.

It was the best I could come up with.

Any particular reason for that? It's a fine, if quaint, little town. The really funny hometown right now is West Newbury Massachusetts, as anyone who's been through there could tell you.

Westbrook, Maine is MY hometown. I am thinking that Mr. Wise-Ass Bullitt is chuckling since every time Scotty 2 Hotty is mentioned, I say he went to my high school. There isn't much to be proud about growing up in Westbrook besides high school sports. Quaint is not what a would call this mill town suburb of Portland, though.

Well, living in Portland off and on for 3 years gave me a taste of Westbrook...and you're both right, it is a nice little town.

There's nothing specificly funny about the town except for the fact it's being announced as the hometown of a WWE wrestler...

Ah, Westbrook, home of the Westbrook High Blue Blazes.

I love saying to people, "You're in Westbrook? What in Blue Blazes are you doing there?"

Also the home of the topless donut shop. (Ok, I guess that's technically in Portland. But I always thought of Exit 8 (now 48) as Westbrook.

Best wishes to Scotty though. He's even outlasted Rikishi with the dancing fool babyface gimmick.

One of my most vivid memories of wrestling early in my life was being scared to death of him (and fascinated by the character). RIP.
