Besides RVD being out offically out, there really is nothing to this show.

I REALLY hope they revealed this to the public on purpose, and it's not one of those "secrets that the camera happens to catch even though IT'S RIGHT THERE in front of the wrestlers."
Whuh? Akio never wins, but he gets a win over London? Unless they're setting up a program between these 2, I don't get the booking here. Neither guy is doing much of anything, but it wasn't that long ago that London was a tag champ, and then feuding w/ Kidman on SD. Should be a good match & all, but Akio winning doesn't make sense.
SD looks so-so. And do we really need the show built around Joy? I count 5 segments that center around her, and 1 more that at least mentions her, for a total of *6*. That's enough to make HHH jealous.
When I started reading the spoiler I was looking forward to the idea of the divas mysteriously disappearing. I had a vague hope that it meant they would soon all disappear and we would be left with just a show full of wrestlers (both male and female).
So they've only announced one Smackdown match for the Royal Rumble ('Taker vs. Heidenreich in a casket match, for those of you keeping tabs on it), and they didn't do anything on the show?
And these divas are getting waaay to much time.
In all honesty, I was hoping Cena would drop the US title to Suzuki, but I guess they've gotta sell more of those Cena replicas first.

I fully expect them to put giant knuckle rings on the SD fist prop when Cena wins the world title. And it will kick all ass.

It's on Velocity; it doesn't have to make sense, because the booking on Velocity doesn't really count, does it?

Hate to break it to you, but I'm damn sure it WILL be one of those "secrets that the camera happens to catch even though IT'S RIGHT THERE in front of the wrestlers". What the hell are they doing to Kurt Angle?! Are they trying to...forgive me for saying this, but... Are they trying to make him look like a RAPIST ala Kane, or something?! Seriously, what's up with this? And when the hell is JOY something important?
No offense, but just imagine what those potential Divas are thinking for next year's competition. Even if you come in third, you can still win a date with John Cena and maybe get abducted by Heidenrich (I'm sorry I had to use him as an example, never happen again)! Wow. Just, wow.
Well, Roderick Strong is pretty cool (IMO, at least) but I doubt he'll get to show much while getting squashed by Angle.
Isn't there also going to be a three-way title match at the RR (Angle/JBL/Show) as well as Taker/Heidenreich in that Please Kill Me Now match? Shows what a good job they've done of hyping it if I can't even remember...

Good grief. This doesn't seem like it'll be a very good edition of SD! this week. And for some reason, I was actually considering tuning in this week after literally months and months of not bothering to watch whole episodes.
I am intrigued by this growing situation between JBL and Angle, however. It's just unfortunate that there isn't enough star power on the SmackDown! side to make this ongoing issue between the two more interesting.
And Joy getting more time on SD! than cruiserweights? (sigh)
If your nose is full of boogers it's snot my fault!
Dammit! RVD doesnt get to do anything and loses the Tag Belt?! WTF?!!? The Bashams? They're old news! They're in the process of being replaced by the Shane Twins! I guess maybe they're trying to punish Rob for wearing that "Im Over" singlet a few weeks ago... those bastards!
This does get me thinking though- they put the belts on the Bashams, seems to me as a signal from the WWE that they are not being replaced by the Shane Twins.
Just like all these matches between Triple H and Randy Orton seem (IMO) to be pointing out that they're not gonna be main-eventing at Mania' 21- but hey, maybe the WWE'll be dumb enough to have them wrestle every week, every ppv, and at Mania too! hooray guys!
RVD's got a knee injury which is why he did nothing and lost the titles. While Rob does have heat over not going to Iraq, and I'm sure that WWE wasn't happy that RVD proverbially slapped them in the face with that "I'm Over" singlet (if anyone in WWE has finally caught on, three weeks after wearing it), his losing the title has nothing to do with any of it.

I beg to differ with you there, bub. I think the Bashams are way better now that they're part of JBL's stable.
I don't think the Shane Twins will be replacing anyone, rather just adding more to the mix. Maybe the Shane Twins end up on RAW to bolster the stagnant tag team scene there.
Okay, after a few days of thinking, maybe what I said earlier was a bit harsh. Heat of the moment thing. But, I stand by my disbelief of what's been going on with Kurt. Okay, him and JBL I can understand, I guess, but seriously why involve the DIVAS?! You know and I know that by this time next year, they won't be remembered anyway, so what's up with this?!
And the next contestant on "Who Wants To Blow Out A Knee" is.... Seriously, I don't know if it's fake or not with RVD's knee, hope not of course. That damn injury bug's back with a vengeance.

Not according to wrestlingobserver.com:
--Rob Van Dam's knee injuries were a torn MCL and a partially torn ACL. He needs surgery and will be out a few months.
Damn! I was hoping for the dream Rob Van Dam v. Rey Mysterio match at WrestleMania 21, but it looks like RVD may be out of action during the show. Oh well. HERE'S TO WRESTLEMANIA 22!

For the curious, upcoming RAW & Smackdown shows: January 17: RAW in Toronto January 18: Smackdown Taping (Airs 1/20) in Montreal January 24: RAW in Oklahoma City January 25: Smackdown Taping (Airs 1/27) in Little Rock January 30: Royal Rumble in Fresno January 31: RAW LIVE & Smackdown Taping (Airs 2/3) in San Jose February 4 [Friday]: RAW Taping (Airs 2/7) in Saitama, Japan February 5 [Saturday]: Smackdown Taping (Airs 2/10) in Saitama, Japan February 14: RAW LIVE in Cincinnati February 15: Smackdown Taping assumed, not yet announced
There's also announced so-called "Super Shows" featuring RAW & Smackdown Superstars advertised for February 1st in Honolulu & February 6th in Anchorage. The 2/6 show has a typical house show card, but the 2/1 show is just called "A Night of Champions: RAW & Smackdown Super Show". Since RAW & Smackdown are both being produced from San Jose on January 31st, it's unlikely that it means anything.

Hey week three and I forgot to comment on Trish's nice Magistral, Hebbners bump and failed to make any Easterbrook jokes. I am off my game. ------ What Worked PAS: The first 80 minutes of this show was just atrociously unwatchably bad.
