For the non-playoff teams, I'm using the Wild Card tie-breakers. Why? Because I'm calculating how far back they're from the #6 seed.
1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2.
The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the three Wild-Card participants.
2. Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.

I __think__ I have all the tie-breakers right. I'm going to double check the 4-7 traffic jam in the NFC.

I have added how many games back the bottom 10 teams are from the last wild card slot.

Good to see that the Ravens *still* in the 6th spot because of a tiebreaker...though that could change soon enough.

NFC is amazing. If the Rams lose tonight than literally every team but two will have a great shot at getting in the playoffs....with a 7-9 record, or 8-8 at best. Wow.

If we had beaten Cleveland in week 1, this would not matter.

Look at all the 4-7 teams in the NFC, must have been "really fun" tabulating all the tie breaking scenarios to give proper seeds Thanks for the work.

Who finishes second in the NFC North is really going to get shafted they will be stronger than who comes in first at the NFC West but will have to play away from home.

Such a huge difference between the two conferences. In the NFC most division have one good/great team and rest bad. East, Philly is great, rest horrible, NYG used to be okay. South, ATL is very good, I wouldn't call them great, I think they are a bit overrated as they play down to their opponents & also plays in a division with a bunch of 4-7 teams... West, is as battle of the average teams who all of a sudden are horrible like Seahawks and STL having a crawl for first place. The only division that has some credibility is the North, with Green Bay and Minnesota being really solid even though at times inconsistent.

In the AFC most division have at least two solid teams in it.
