It was even better than the news made it out to be. The Gamecocks waited at the bottom of the field for the Tigers after they touched the rock before the game even started.
Not exactly the classiest way for Lou Holtz's non-bowl career to end. GO TIGERS!!

Word came in that both Clemson and South Carolina will decline any incoming bowl invitations Click Here (thekansan.com) ... I would say that's a very big move on the administrations part. Dare I say maybe even a little harsh.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19
According to ESPN.com, there are 56 bowl-eligible teams right now. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1922915 . With Clemson and SC declinging bids, that's 54 teams. There are 28 bowl games this year, which means we need 56 teams. Either Hawaii or Northwestern will make it in, but I'd like it if there weren't any others. They'd have to cancel the New Orleans bowl or something like that.
And the bowl that has to select Troy isn't going to be happy anyway.

By this point, I'm hoping that GB has an utterly horrible season so Mike Sherman can be unceremoniously fired and/or dragged behind the team bus. Some coaches are winners, and Sherman just doesn't have it.
