The Observer is carrying a house show report from a fan that Bob Holly apparently snped and beat the shit out of Rene Dupree during a Haas/Holly Vs. Dupree/Suzuki bout. He nailed him with an uber-stiff chairshot and beg punching him in the face, so Suzuki and Haas finished up double-quick in the ring. Dupree allegedly had to run to the back to escape Holly, and the fight picked up again backstage.

If true, this is pathetic. Dupree may have done something to provoke him, but you do NOT turn a live match into an assault, no matter what your colleague may or may not have said/done. Then again, maybe Holly was just pissed that Dupree was holding a title without "paying his dues". What a prick.

Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.

Bob Holly should have been shown the door with Billy Gunn. Here's to keeping our fingers crossed that he's a memory soon ...

But who's the REAL victim here? ... I'd say Charlie Haas, for being forced to team with this career killer.

Could this be the WWE using the Ron Artest fiasco as story fodder? I do expect them to do something with it.

In a link from PWInsider.com, Vince was interviewed by an Atlanta TV station and mentioned something about a performer receiving a crushed orbital socket. Could this be Dupree? And isn't a crushed orbital socket career threatening?

"VM: Unfortunately, again what we do is not ballet and we get hurt a lot, and sometimes the injuries are permanent. Just last night, we had a crushed orbital socket with one of our performers who caught a left hook. I mean, that happens, you know. But that's not a serious injury, believe it or not. The more serious ones result in paralysis, things of that nature... neck and back injuries are very prevalent. And yes, corporately, when you look at it -- from not the extent of a human being aspect -- corporately, you've lost that asset. You've lost that asset now and so has the audience, they've lost that asset, so it's a tremendous loss."

That's the injury Animal received during the NWA Road Warriors/Russians weightlifting contest, I believe. He wore a mask after taking some time off as it healed.

Maven broke Snitsky's orbital socket at Survivor Series. That's probably what Vince was referring to.

Funny that the orbital bone got mentioned though, since the second I heard this I immediately thought of Maeda's shoot kick to Choshu.

Sorry, don't care how much of a "legit" bad ass you are, there's nothing tough about hitting someone while their job is to trust you not to. Only "justification" here is if Holly was told to by the boss, and if that's the case Vince better pray no lawsuits or assault charges are filed.

I suppose Holly was jealous of the WANG~!

The days of a promoter having one of his wrestlers work stiff on another as a punishment are long gone. He may have Holly work with a newer guy to see how "tough" he is, but he certainly wouldn't release him from a cage and yell out "HOLLY, ATTACK!"

This seems very likely to be something more than just rumor, so Holly should consider himself a lucky man if he hasn't been terminated already. If I was McMahon, I know I sure as Hell wouldn't want Holly (a guy who I haven't done anything with in months) potentially injuring (or worse) wrestlers who I might have something planned for.

PLEASE fire Bob Holly. He's horrible, boring, arrogant and jealous of workers younger than himself that have managed to go further than he ever has in his own career. Yeah, great move firing Haas's other partner, fan-favorite Rico and sticking him with one of the biggest assholes in the business that maybe has 3 fans. Yeah. That'll put the asses in the seats. <*/sarcasm>

For Bob Holly to go insane, doesn't that mean he has to be sane originally? That might be a stretch.
If Vince hasn't fired him before for taking liberties with guys, why would he fire him now? And, if I'm Holly and my career is going nowhere fast, I see the guy holding the top belt on SD being someone who took liberties with guys inside and outside of the ring, so I'd be seeing if maybe they are dumb enough to reward another guy for pulling stunts.
Of course, if the spark is gone and his plug is pulled, I wouldn't shed a tear.

Still waiting patiently for Game 8 of the Red Sox/Yankee series.

Apparently Dupree was driving a car in Holly's name and got a ticket. Doesn't justify it but you can see where hes coming from now. Never a good idea to get two people in the ring who have issues and especially not when one of them is Bob Holly.

BWT which we hope stands for Blind Willie mcTell is referring to this official statement from David A. Meltzer: "Dupree has a lot of heat with a lot of people. Dupree screwed up by getting a ticket while driving a rental car in Holly's name that Holly had to take care of, and had to waste his time flying to another city. And well, Bob is an asshole."

Too bad Brock isn't here. Looks like Holly's about due for another few months out with a broken neck. Maybe Shelton Benjamin's got some free time to put Holly in is place!

And I must second that notion that Holly is not only and asshole... but useless as well.

I thought Bradshaw should've been fired for the Nazi thing but this is much worse. He won't get fired, infact i wouldn't be surprised if he got the title within the year.

10 guys get cut and Holly isn't one of them? Simply amazing.......

I often wonder when I see Holly on my TV screen what exactly McMahon is doing in those incrimintaing photos Holly has of him.

Wow, these are some good selections and way to go on thinking and referring to all these matches (very impressive). I am partial to the Royal Rumble which Batista won (does anyone know what year that was?)
