Lately my computer's been running slower than usual, and when I try to watch DVDs (using my dandy DVD drive) the picture and audio is all choppy. I run AdAware & SpyBot regularly, but my Norton AntiVirus is pretty outdated. Can anybody tell me how I can get my computer back to it's old self, and what the hell's wrong with it??
Is your resolution too high? I know when I try to watch DVDs at 1680x1050 ("full" wide screen) it can get a bit choppy and I'll have to turn it down to 1400x1050 or so, especially if it's an action movie.
And now, for a limited time only, it rhymes with "door hinge!"
The first question I would ask is what have you changed or added? (Especially in the way of applications/services (things like Norton which pretty much run constantly to keep an eye on whatever it is they are supposed to do/prevent))
Troubleshooting a computer online like this with little to no information isn't the easiest thing to do either. It's a lot like coming here and saying my nose is running and I have a temperature. What should I do?
It's a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing milkbone undershorts.

Sorry if I'm in trouble for being off-topic but man was that a weird e-mail. But maybe it just means it's time for the Compy 486 or the Compy Pentium or something.
NOTE: The above post makes no sense. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Wasn't the 386 more advanced than the 486? My first machine was a 386, so I think the answer is yes.
For some reason, my comp refuses to connect to iTunes's store. I've tried signing up for an account, closing my firewall (ZoneAlarm), rebooting, waiting... nothing works. I can get to the online radio stations fine, but that's it.
