So, apparently while filming a Royal Rumble commerical in Universal Studios, some TNA wrestlers (who film Impact tapings one studio over), hung out with the WWE wrestlers who were in the commerical. Thats pretty boring..UNTIL you read this piece of awesomeness:
Former WWE production employee Dave Sahadi showed up and introduced Traci Brooks, who came out with cookies, and Abyss who brought out balloons as a "welcoming present." WWE officials obviously went ballistic over the situation.
Reportedly, WWE complained to the Universal Studios office and also threatened to sue TNA if any of the footage was used. TNA was talking about responding with a comical press release.
God, that is just really funny. I can see Vince in his office on the phone going "THEY BROUGHT COOKIES?! THOSE BASTARDS!"
The WWF was established at that time...DX doing it was funny as all hell, and was relevant to what was going on at that time in wrestling...
It wasn't some BS situation where some TNA execs wanted to "invade" WWE during non-broadcast times...TNA just thinks they are further along than they really are...they're desperate and hopefully they can acknowledge that...

Sorry but I have to totally disagree with you. When WWE "invaded" WCW, funny as hell yes, but they needed a camera man around to give them the full satisfaction. TNA "invaded" WWE, if you want to call it that, without a camera man. Showing they are willing to piss off WWE to push their own promotion just for themselves and not for the genral public. Did this really help anyone outside of TNA, no. But I am guessing it gave the guys within TNA a good laugh and maybe thats why they did it, and to just piss off the Vin Man. Is TNA a big threat to WWE, no. Is TNA a little threat to WWE, no not really. But I am sure they saw it as a big victory.

They just had an average to below average PPV in front of 400 people...Savage screwed them over...AJ Styles is overrated...and Jeff Jarrett is their Triple H...I think they have a bit more to worry about then going and pissing off Vince...

WWE was at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL taping their Royal Rumble commercial yesterday when they got a surprise group of visitors as TNA's Jeremy Borash, David Sahadi and some other unidentified company employees stopped by the taping. According to reports, they were seen talking to Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho. Vince McMahon was said to be far less than happy by them showing up. Also, Val Venis and Rhyno were also hanging out with the Team Canada guys at the post Impact bar on Tuesday night. Those guys all broke into the business together. ... Thanks to Mike Johnson for sending that along.
And Mike Johnson followed with this:
As Dave Scherer noted earlier today, Jeremy Borash, Dave Sahadi, Abyss, Shane Douglas, Tracy Brooks, and 3 Live Kru visited the WWE's Royal Rumble commercial shoot yesterday at Universal Studios. The TNA crew brought cookies over (Abyss brought balloons as well) as a "goodwill gesture" to welcome them to TNA's home, although I am sure it was to make themselves seen as well. The workers, most of whom knew Borash from WCW, were friendly while WWE management, especially Vince McMahon and "Big" from Tough Enough were less than thrilled. From what I understand, there is a lot of resentment towards Sahadi for working with TNA after resigning from his position in WWE earlier in the year. WWE's production was actually set up next a shoot TNA was doing, so TNA had a camera present but didn't shoot footage. It would have been priceless had they actually filmed something for Impact!

I don't think it makes them look bush league and I don't see how it could be seen a victory. They brought cookies for God's sake. It's not something that took balls to do, which you could argue the dX thing was. Don't think these two scenarios are anything similar. Some people in the business dropped by to see some other people in the business, don't see how it's even newsworthy, really.

Agree, HMD..it's probably overblown. Sure I can imagine Vince being angry, and NWA making a bit of fun with the baloons..but I doubt it will turn into anything. The websites/many of us love to blow these things up just because it gives a chance to bitch at WWE (or NWA in same cases).. The same thing goes for the Angle/Puder situation last week. A great chance to say WWE sucks and doesnt know what they are doing.
I think the story is ADORABLE. C'mon, it's not even like TNA's being EDGY or like WWE's getting PUNK'D or anything. They're WRESTLERS hanging out with the WRESTLERS next door. Maybe poking a little fun, sure, but what's the harm?
Some people's insistence that TNA needs to lock themselves in their bedrooms, weeping, never speaking -- or even THINKING -- of WWE EVER AGAIN because TNA doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same paragraph as WWE, and DAMMIT, TNA should KNOW THAT and their wrestlers should cut promos about how much they suck and how much WWE RULES and TNA must stay in their PROPER PLACE AT ALL TIMES...well, it's just a little weird, is all.

That's punch and pie, sir.
Maybe that's how TNA can improve the crowds at the next PPV: advertise free punch and pie to the crowds at Universal Studios. More people'll come if they think TNA has punch and pie.

Why is he angry with Canadian customs? It's Luger that broke the law and was a fugitive, which prevented him from entering Canada. You know, I feel for the guy because he put so much of the booking behind Luger being there.
