Judging by the international reaction to the US election, it seems that anti-Americanism may once again be growing. Most people would simply dismiss this by saying "oh who gives a shit what they think." However, with the advant of globalization, our economies are all dependent on each other.

With rising EU and Chinese markets, is it only a matter of time before America is no longer the worlds leading player? If history has taught us anything, isolation will always lead to a nations downfall. Could America face isolation as a result of resentment from the rest of the world?

Anti-Americanism won't determine the market's direction. Self-interest will. Money talks, etc.

And as long as we're the only Western country with a legitimate military, we're not in danger of irrelevance just yet.

The EU isn't what you have to worry about. China and India is what you should be worried about as economic superpowers.

FYI... So this guy's Daily Show episode aired last (Thursday) night, so there's a good chance it'll get repeated this weekend.
