I absentee voted, because I'm up at school. My father just called me, and he said that I'm on the list next to him, and I'm not crossed off or anything like that.
What's stopping me from driving home and voting again? (Besides my own moral code, that is) Is there a check in place that makes sure that I don't vote both absentee and in person?
I know here in Fresno Co, there's an asterisk or a symbol next to your name if you're an absentee voter. These things vary from state to state and county to county, though.

just a felony offense.
i voted absentee since im not a resident where i live(wyoming) because i am military but my mom saw my name so i know mine counted.
Same thing happened to my girlfriend today. She absenteed last week, but the NC rolls didn't have all the absentee ballots counted, so they just sent out the rolls anyway. Her mother apparently pitched a huge fit when she saw her daughter's name on the rolls waiting to be voted for.
Again - Some election reform would be nice, I think. Though NC has done something right, by having one of the easiest ballots to use ever. Why the hell would we want electronic voting? Everybody should go to the "Connect the Line" ballot. It's the closest thing to idiot-proof.
One of my friends (who lives in Florida - make of that what you will) had to fly to Colorado to vote. Evidently her absentee ballot didn't go through. I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but I was pretty surprised to see that.
I voted early, and MrsAWArulz voted in the General election and she said my name wasn't right there below hers on the sign in like it normally is. So it looks like Indiana has it right, orr at least my county, anyway.
Now, is it ok for me yell THEATRE! in a crowded fire?

Yeah, I kind of screwed that up. About the best defense I can come up with is "I am REALLY tired today." If I could delete this and start over (or just delete it) I would, but alas....
