Wow. Billy Gunn I can see, but A-Train is 10x as good as Heidenreich, Tomko, & Snitsky combined.

Didn't see these coming.

Over/Under on Jeff Jarrett vs Billy Gunn?

Ah I see Billy coming back in the future I bet it has more to do with his personal problems then his ring work. As far as A-Train kind of strange for them to let him go while he is hurt. I guess they have 10 guys who can do what he did for cheaper money. I actually liked A-Train and really enjoyed his work with Scotty 2 Hottie.

I'd like to see Bob Holly and Chuck Palumbo released too. They are just taking up space on the roster.

Oh well, A Train never got over the way he was supposed to, after numerous opportunities over the last few years. I think his look and style would be a good fit for NOAH, and could maybe fued with Gladiator and eventually Kobashi. Gunn reuniting with Road Dog in TNA will be great for the debut PPV.

Huh. Like someone said, with Billy Gunn and his personal problems, I can see him getting released (though I thought WWE gave him an ultimatum of rehab or getting released, and he chose rehab?). Plus, he was just one of those heat-sucking machines that, for whatever reason, couldn't get over on his own.

A-Train is a surprise, especially knowing that McMahon (and Ace) like big men. Not only is A-Train an ESTABLISHED big man, but he's steadily improved his in-ring work. I thought I read where A-Train was working in OVW for a comeback from his injury.

Not that I'm gonna lose any sleep over A-Train not having a WWE contract, but seriously, on a roster with that many big choads who can't sell and have shitty offense, why would you cut one of the few who actually can sell and does have a nice offense?

Gunn reaaally must have pissed somebody off.

With A-Train's release, is it safe to presume Taker was slightly off in believing he was the future of the company a few years ago?
As for Billy Gunn, good-bye, good riddance, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Meh. I haven't even seen Smackdown! for half a year now, so I couldn't really say I miss either guy much.

I guess Gunn was only really over when he was with Road Dogg - at least with me.

Thank god. A-Train will never again be the charismatic black hole that makes me wonder why I bother watching. Now we have Heidenreich for that. And at least Heidenreich is more attractive, in a rapes-Michael-Cole kind of way.

Billy Gunn will no longer grace us with his entrance music. Hey, maybe he can go back to doing the wrestling promo equivalent of "YEAH, ME TOO!" with Road Dogg in TNA or something.

If you head over to WWE.com, the post has been edited. The list now includes Test...

They're dropping like flies.

WWE.com has added Test to the list of those released. Looks like they're really trimming the fat today.

wwe.com reports now that Test has also been given his walking papers. I shall now update the thread title.

I never thought much one way or the other for Mr. Train, but I've no problem with seeing the other two cut.

Bye bye, boys. This thinning of the mid-card herd might actually be a good thing.

Test and Billy Gunn released? My God, is it Christmas already? I don't even have a tree yet...

Here's what's confusing me...now, was Billy Gunn in rehab or not when he was released? If so, was this his SECOND trip? I've read that he was given the ultimatum to go to rehab, and other reports that say he's still in rehab. It wouldn't make much sense to me that they would say "go to rehab and you'll keep your job," then saying "just kidding...you're fired."

I give it no more than 2 months before we hear that Stacy Keibler is now dating one of the "ACTIVE" WWE wrestlers and ditches Test faster than you can say David Flair.

that whole thing was so bogus. 3 of my friends were on the new GLOW show and I was told the experience was a "nightmare". I feel so bad for all of the women who worked it and got burned. it could have been fun but turned into a giant bummer.
