What exactly do the Muta bleeding numbers mean? I assume they refer to the Great Muta being horribly bloodied in a match. Being that I have never seen the "full Muta" can anyone give me an exaple of soemthing close to that? Like maybe when 'Taker got the sledgehammer blow to the head frm HHH while he had his hands chained, or Austin in the sharpshooter when he passed out? Are any of those close to a 1.0 Muta?

It's an old r.s.p-w reference - a long time ago, Muta did the bladejob by which all subsequent bladejobs were measured. Of course, I can't remember the exact details but you could probably find it on google in under ten minutes. ANYWAY, by the time the match had ended Muta's blood was on his face, his torso, his pants, his opponent, the mat, and generally everywhere.

I seem to recall Triple H getting pretty close (like .9) in one of his bloodbaths but, again, my faulty memory prevents me from remembering exactly WHICH match it happened in. I dno't know if the People Who Remember These Things are lurking, but maybe they'll help me out here. Or you can always ask about "1.0 Muta" on the DVDVR message board; that's gotta be one of their FAQs by now. ;-)

Yeah, see, the WWF can't have a 1.0 Muta, even on a PPV, because they still want to show that they're a family show.

[shakes head and sighs]

There's enough adults in cities to fill up arenas without kids going, and if your kids are watching anyway, you're the PARENT, remember? I mean, they can easily make the style more extreme like they started in '96 or so, and get away with it.

The big problem would be that society would take another downturn due to the vast influence the WWF has on children these days. [I say that as a half truth and a half sarcasm.]

Eh.

Phoenix, that would mean that parents are responsible for what their kids watch, instead of people who know better than everyone else what should be on tv, and that would be un-American. If we let each family decide what they want to watch, who knows what kind of filth might get on tv! There will be WWF wrestling, single mothers, and gay people all over the tv, and eventually someone will just start SGTV (Sodom & Gomorrah television) and our poor godless nation will slide into hell itself.

I'm guess either Royal Rumble 2000 Street Fight v. Foley or the Fully Loaded 2000 Last Man Standing Match v. Jericho....

I believe HHH got closest to 1.0 Muta during his matches with Foley. He got pretty dern gooey during those...To my delight...muhahahaha! Bleed Gonzo! BLEEEEEEED!!

Oh, where was I?

I think the actual 1.0 Muta (Man, that's one lame red!) match was Hase vs Muta 12/14/92 or atleast that was what Google told me.

God bless that little search engine. Took less than a minute too.

I was being sarcastic, but apparently that didn't go over too well. People watch what they want, and that's the bottom line. PTC aside, there are plenty of people that thnk parents are responsible for what their kids watch. They're not, and they haven't been in about 20 years.

And that's in fact the entire problem... because for many of those kids watching whatever they want, discipline is WAY out the window before their parents start trying to boss them around. Parents SHOULD be responsible, but instead they shove their kids in front of the TV as if it was a babysitter.

So, I suppose I subscribe to both realities: While I think the PTC has a little bit of the right of things, I realize that nothing they do will change the downward trend of taste of society. Why protect our kids? They need to see reality, not be in clouds for 20 years of their lives, right?

Mike, I got what you were saying, and was agreeing with you. And parents are always responsible, or at least are accountable. If you as a parent choose to abdicate that role, then you have failed in that respect. If you as a parent choose to assume your child can seperate fantasy from reality, choreographed violence from real violence, true animosity from fake vitriol...well then letting them watch the WWF really shouldn't be a problem for them. Either way, I just can't stand anyone else telling me what's good for me to do. I doubt the PTC would like me protesting showing the Pope's midnight mass on the grounds that it spreads a cultish message of blind worship of a patriarchal oppressive system which engages in superstitious beliefs about the dead rising from the graves, magic tricks and wizardry, and the turning of foodstuffs into human flesh. But I want to watch grown men throwing each other around in a cooperative entertainment effort, and that's a threat to decent society? Sorry to get sort of off topic there, but just thinking about it pisses me off.

HHH might have gotten close to 1.0, but the only *real* 1.0 I've seen was the infamous Cactus Jack pic from King of the Deathmatch tourney. This is the only pic I have...

Edit: I tried but the F'n pictures up, but they don't show up! Anyway, you all probably have seen the face. If not, go HERE and HERE

Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman

I was able to get your picture links to work by first going to the site http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Dome/1289/ then pasting the links you listed into the browser. It's apparently got some sort of anti-linking code.

Just as long as you weren't getting pissed off at me ;-)

Yeah, I agree though... if yu're going to be an asshole about parents being responsible, at least be an equal opportunity one, not a selective one.

Most everybody else get the other WGN (non-WB) feed. I like it. Since we get WGN on an east coast feed, I can watch Impact from 5-7, then wait for Raw at 9. Kinda like in the days TNT had only an east coast feed.
