I had been on the fence regarding which satellite radio service to go with. In Sirius' favor, my car radio is Sirius compatible, and they have the NFL package. XM really didn't offer anything with the exception of { Sorry, you must be logged in to see this text! } possibly signing up and getting a show, and now, every Major League Baseball game. This is awesome.

Between Opie & Anthony & now the MLB package, my next car will surely have XM. Awesome news...

The satellite radio people are really making me want to buy them. XM's got O&A and MLB, and Sirius has College FB, the NFL, and (next January) Howard Stern.

I guess Stern's announcement lead to Sirius subscriptions to go over 700,000 for the first time ever, and they expect one million by the end of the year. I know my sister has Sirius on her Christmas list for Howard Stern (next year!) alone.

All I know is that I'm sick of driving across the state (or states) every few weeks to visit people and getting nothing but Rush, Hannity, or Jesus radio for hours on end, with ESPN radio on only every few towns or so.

Three months ago I would have salivated at this opportunity, but now that my new car gets Radio 720 WGN in so well and I can hear the Pat and Ron Show (Cardinal Nation is drawing up my excommunication papers as we speak) so well now, day or night, I don't know WHAT to do.

And to think, I almost bought Sirius since their public radio offerings are so much better. And I almost made fun of the XM rep at work today. Damn, glad I didn't...he'd have thrown this trump card down on me and left me speechless.

As a radio geek, I want to know if these are dry or dirty feeds. If it's the latter, where all the spots and production elements are present, I'll HAVE to buy it just to listen to how each team does their broadcasts differently. The former, which is how mlb.com does it (and I imagine XM will as well,) will bore me to tears.

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=1950&t=BOS It appears that the most runs by one team and largest margin of victory occurred when the Boston Red Sox defeated the old St. Louis Browns 29-4 on June 8, 1950.
