Cards, Dodgers break tradition...or start one

It takes a good ol' Canadian boy to bring a hockey tradition into baseball.

Somehow, I can't see the Yankees and Red Sox doing this next week.

I was impressed with that last night, I even explained to my wife that it was a hockey tradition. I really think that should be the standard at the end of all baseball playoff series. Classy move by the Dodgers.

I was happy to see that and it was nice that it wasnt the hockey line up, shake twice, say "good game" and walk to the next guy. The Dodgers all seemed very gracious and happy for the Cards.

Class move by the Dodgers.

Why didn't Milton Bradley punch someone? I was actually really worried when he was up with two down in the ninth that he'd strike out and go stomp on a baby or hit a security guard with his bat. Really happy he got on and Alex Cora was the one to end it.

I like it. I always wondered why other sports never followed the lead of hockey on this. Class move by the Dodgers.

This is the closest we'll get to hockey anytime soon.

Yes that was something that always stood out in hockey. No matter how many times players tried to bludgeon each other into injury with large wooden sticks, tried to concuss each other by smashing their heads into the wall, or tried to "take out" a certain player on the other team by sending in their "goon" they were always classy enough to shake hands afterwards.

I'd love to see more of this.

The local media here, at least the Fox station was making it out like they did some big huge wild thing. It was a simple, classy move by both teams, nothing more.

And, the Cards and Astros may do it again:

That should tell you how bad the Atlanta fans are. My girlfriend and I almost drove down there on a whim(16 hours) to go to a playoff game last year because we knew tickets would be available when we got there.
