Personally, I'd rather have Heyman with JR on RAw and leave Lawler with Coleslaw on Smackdown. Say what you will about Paul's constant yelling and shilling of ECW alumni but he and JR are awesome together.
Or better yet - just send Cole backstage where he belongs and hire Joey Styles.
I don't get Jakked or Metal so I haven't heard too much of Kelly. But he was hilarious with Foley when they did their joke commentary of the al snow/big bossman kennel from hell match on the hard knocks cheap pops DVD.
And Tino, relax! Just because I think Cyrus, Joey and Corino might be good commentators doesn't mean I'm an EC Dub "drone". No need for knee jerk sweeping statements, even if it is the internet we're on.
Hell I always kind of liked Scott Hudson, maybe they could give him a go round. As long as Mark Madden doesn't rear his head, I'll watch smackdown with the volume up.
How about having Juvi behind the mic? "CHAMPU!!!!" :)

I wouldn't mind seeing Foley and Kelly on SD. But what I'd like to see ideally is Styles on play-by-play and Foley on color. The problem with Styles in ECW was that he had to announce all by himself, without a color guy. This meant that he had to cover both jobs on his own... and Joey Styles blows monkey spank as a color commentator. But pair him up with Foley, who just about everyone agrees is golden when it comes to talking, and is a real life friend of Styles, and I think you'd have a great team.

I don't know much about KK doing a broadcast, the only place I hear him his once a month when I listen to Byte This! From what I have seen I like him. But, by pairing him with Cole, wouldn't that give you two play by play guys?
The only thing I really want in the new announcer is for him to come from the heel perspective. I don't want two guys putting over the faces for a whole show. That is about the only think I like about Lawler, and love about Heyman.
The best two that i can think of would be Jim C. and The Brain. I would love to see either of them do the heel to Michael Cole. Now if the company goes with two play by play announcers i say Kevin Kelly would be a good choice.
I am the JOBBER TO THE STARS. You better remember that.
I'd like to see Kelly go too, but he's a Play by Play guy and Cole hasn't done anything to lose his spot. Brain doesn't want a lot of bookings and has cancer. I'd love to see Foley come in and commentate but I don't see it happening since he just left a few months ago and what with his best buddy Flair around. Cyrus isn't welcome back. Paul E is doing the manager thing. Cole really needs a strong personality to work with, though. I have a feeling it will be either Al Snow, Tazz, or Mike Sanders, in the end.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Mr. Perfect showed up at the announcing table. He might as well take this job. His wrestling career is going nowhere anyways

I really like what I have heard of these significant improvements to our broadcast vehicles other than RAW and SmackDown! Plus, I am going to be interested to see how some of the new faces are going to be introduced over the next few weeks/months to our audience, especially totally new talents. A great deal of thought has to go into how talents who have been here in the past are reintroduced on our broadcasts, also.
HEENAN!
I agree with Tino on this one, I don't think he's talking about the actual broadcast position he's just talking about Raw and Smackdown as broadcasts and is talking about bringing in people who were injured (Benoit, Kanyon, Rhyno), people who haven't been seen since the Invasion angle (Raven, Dreamer, Chavo, Hugh, Kidman), and people who have not been on WWF television in a while for whatever reason (Eddy, D-Lo). After all, I believe later in his report he talks about how Dreamer got absoulutely no reaction lately because he hasn't been on tv and goes on to say they need to fix that.
I think Sanders, and Perfect would both be great fill ins for the Smackdown announcing spots, I also wouldn't mind Kanyon.
If I were in charge, i'd maybe try a weekly special guest announcer. Having The Rock or Angle do commmentary for a show would be gold, but of course they wouldn't want them to do commentary permanently. Think about some of the possibilities. One would be Hurricane rambling about super heros and villians throughtout the matches.
*sigh* there going the easy way and just go with Cole and Tazz.
I don't know ECW drone, if I want my announcer to be... well good. (it's not like I'm askind for Gertner here) I think Styles is great in calling a match and when to bring it up and when to bring it down... I think Cyrus is like Heyman and not like a Lawler wannabe (which seems to be what everyone else is doing) He quick, witty, funny, and actually get moves over.
for others play by play - I always liked Mike Tenay, I always thought he was a solid number 3 behind Ross and Styles... Michael cole is just awful, some say he didn't do anything to ruin his spot, I think he's the Lita of play by play, he just gets worse over time... I think the second (behind ross) play by play guy is Kevin Kelly. But that's not saying much
Colour - Tazz is really becoming Lawler clone, I think Lawler is okay I don't need a clone of him...Heenan is good and he was good untill he lost his passion, but he's been sick recently so I don't think he would be back... I remember Shane-o-mac a long time ago doing colour, and he was pretty brutal, but he might be better another time around.
Again it's sad that with one company the best isn't being used and I think the best B team in the buisness would be Styles and Cyrus.
If you had July 22nd in the “when will WCW Prime producers realize Johnny B Badd hasn’t worked here since March” pool, you lose.
Once again, MIKE TENAY replaces Dusty Rhodes, joined by CHRIS CRUISE and his terrifying shirt....
