Gotta love Kane's acting. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! When you heard him scream as they closed the door when they rushed in to the room, I was expecting the door to open and Kane go "you sunk my battleship!"

Gene Snitsky = RATINGS! That whole subplot to the miscarriage is just awesome. Gene is gonna die next week and it will kick ass.

I am amazed Carmella didnt win. I guess they really are going by the voting. The post-announcement stuff was pretty lame though. You'd think she would be more excited considering she just won $250,000. It almost seems like they knew before Coach said anything.

Hurricane should just be happy he has something to do. Heel hurricane seems a bit more interesting than face Hurricane. Although, I guess this means less comedy from him.

MAVEN WINS! I wonder if he is frustrated how his career is going or just happy to have a job at this point?

I miss the GWF.

A Fashion Report: People wore clothing.

Season premiere means 4 years since the move from USA to TNN/Spike, with the ratings never being what they were on USA.
Its been over 3 years since Nitro went off the air. Let it go Vince, you won. Of course, I actually would have liked Vince to book himself vs. Bischoff for a cage match at Tuesday in Texas II, to finally get everything out of his system, rather than Eugene vs. Uncle Eric.
Nothing says depush like jobbing to Stacy Kiebler.
Funny how DivaCrapFest was booked for the time period when MNF goes to halftime. And, what is the point of having the money in the ring if the winner doesn't take it or the loser doesn't steal it?
Best acting out of Lita in years. Motionless and no speaking suits her fine. Kane's scream was mainly out of the fact that he realized he and his wife are wrestlers, thus he has to pay the bill for the miscarried demon spawn out of his own pocket, thus no new pyro.
The infomercial needs BlowAway.
Maven wrestles on RAW? Maven wins on RAW? Must be time for them to start another Tough Enough. Must say this about Maven: He somehow has less charisma than Greg Gagne.
And, does this mean Regal and Benoit are not #1 contenders for the tag belts?
Nice touch by Trip and Batista flexing at Billy Graham. Really would have gone crazy if Flair had broken out the tie dye outfit.
Fine main event. No noticeable rust on Benjamin.

It's time for Raw, live from Tucson, AZ...and a Fashion Report, too!

Vince, in grey suit, yellow shirt and tie, struts out to the ring and grabs the mic.

He calls-out Bisch, in tan suit and black shirt, with cane. The "big announcement" is that Taboo Tuesday is fanbooked (as pretty much everyone guessed already). I wasn't

going, anyway. Bisch opposes the idea, as politely as he can to his boss. Vince has none of that and goes ahead, even booking Bisch vs. Eugene, who comes out in white jacket and blue undies. Vince suggests some possible match stipulations. Bisch tries to weasel-out of the match by using honeyed words with his nephew. But Eugene decks his uncle and hugs Vince. My pizza is "a good source of CALCIUM" (not that it's important, but it's as interresting as this segment was).

FOOTAGE! of Orton ruining HHH's celebration cake.

Stacy, in black top and cyan hotpants, and Victoria, in yellow see-my-boobs-style top and hotpants, vs. Trish, in grey star tanktop and black pants, carrying the Women's Title, and Molly, in black/white corset and black pants.

Jack Doan referees, in the stripes. Stacy backslides Molly->pin. Average match.

In the back, Randy reads! Vince stops by to pass the time by speaking to the former champ.

FOOTAGE! of last week's Kane/Lita crapathon.

Gene Snitsky's Head sets the record straight about last week. Apparently he's not responsible. But his head totally portrays intensity.

Todd Grisham stands in a hospital hallway.

Hurricane, in black "H" poncho, mask, and green/black tights, with Rosey, in black outfit with blue/orange bolt and mask vs. Tajiri, in black pants with dragon
and flaming left hem, with Rhyno, in black "Rhyno" singlet. Chad "I'll allow it" Patton officiates in the stripes. Tajiri gets the pin. Post-match, Hurricane gets all heelish (way to telegraph it, WW).

Todd's still in the hospital, interviewing Kane, looking far less monstrous when he's wearing a black polo shirt. Kane vs. Snitsky - this time it's personal (or something...like I care (I don't)).

Shaun, in mirrored sleeves and chaps over red "Shawn Michaels HBK" sundered heart tights, vs. Jericho, in purple silhoutte "Y2J" tights, wearing the IC Title. Earl Hebner officiates, in stripes. Christian!, in yellow shirt and black pants, joins JR and Lawler on commentary (what a conveniently-placed extra chair!). Jericho got a haircut. Christian! gets involved in the match, but Earl has him removed.

AdBreak does his thing - I missed him last week.

Cont. Tomko comes down just to get dropkicked. Christian! causes the DQ.

Post-match, the heels do the beatdown on the faces.

Smackdown! recap. But lo! Todd Grisham interrupts with something from the hospital before being shooed away by Helpful Nurse #1. Hear Kane (I assume) shouting (like he's really got to crap).

Moments Ago, the last paragraph (sans the Smackdown! false start).

Presently, Evolution preps in the back. HHH rips on Taboo Tuesday.

JR, in black suit, hat, silver shirt and tie, and Lawler, in black suit and red shirt, show the video recap of the Diva Search.

Already in the ringSylvan, in sequined blue vest and blue "La Resistance" undies with Quebec flag, with Rob in same vs Maven, in red "M" undies. Jack Doan pulls doulbe-duty with this match. Maven wins. Que?

Todd, with Remorseful Doctors #1 and #2 reports that the baby died. Kane cries.

Life-like Lita doll, with dark circles under its eyes, just lies on the bed, with many tubes all around. Thank goodness - now, just one squash match with Snitsky and this whole angle will be over.

Who the fuck is this Simon Dean? Fuck you, WW, and yet another lame gimmick. Lord knows they couldn't be spending time building-up existing characters; they've got to bring in more, crappier characters. (I liked Playboy Buddy Rose's blow-away diet better.)

JR offers condolences for Kane and Lita's loss. NOw, we go to Coach and some hot chicks! To string-out the pain, Trish, now in black dress with pale blue flowers, carrying the Title, comes out. NotCarmella (Christy?) wins. La-de-fuckin-da. I wish it were over, but Trish's "party" next week means the pain just won't end.

Evolution: HHH, in black iron-cross undies, wearing the Heavyweight Title, Batista, in gold "Batista" undies with red crotch flame, an Flair, in red/gold
sequined "Nature Boy" robe over black "RF" undies vs. Benoit, in blue "4 Real" tights with black slashes, Benjamin in blue, tucked-in singlet with silver trim, and Randy, in black "Orton" undies with gold hip-scrawls. Mike Chioda is the referee of the match, in stripes, too. Orton is out cold on the outside, so AdBreak comes in again.

Cont. (I missed the end. ZZZ.)

Overall: Eh. I wish I could say that Kane/Lita and Diva stuff were finally over, but it looks like WW is trying to string the plots out. There was just enough suck to drag-down the rest of the show.

It's a good thing they told us that Lita survived - she looked pretty dead there. (I guess that's her version of "shock".) Massive overacting by Kane. And, of course, Snitsky's going to DIE.

Some pretty brutal promos tonight - Snitsky, the Divas, Flair (putting H before himself again?).

Was it me, or were there multiple blown spots in the six-man tag?

RAW did nothing for me tonight. Better luck next week?

Not a bad show at all ... although the worst segue of the night had to be when JR & Ring were trying to sell the baby angle as "bad" and then jumped right into "something good" as in the WMXXI press conference ... just seemed like the wrong place to mention that.

Heel Hurricane? Thank goodness ... Spiff has to be licking his chops.

I think JR & King got exactly what they needed ... and that was a dose of Captain Charisma!!! ... Man, he just rules.

But back to this whole wedding thing ... my prediction is that Lita will fall in love with Kane because he is avenging her & the losing of the baby ... we get face Kane for the next 6 months ... then he turns into (once again), sadistic, overbearing Kane just in time for Matt Hardy to return ... but that sure was a piss-poor climax to the Kane/HBK feud ...

At least Maven finally got some new trunks ... he should be sent to OVW for about 6 more months of seasoning and then, I think he could finally take the next step ... I mean, the guys's not terrible in the ring & he can cut a good promo.

Shelton should be wearing the IC by WMXXI next year.

Random Raw Thoughts:

-Snitski. Wow, how 'bout that acting, huh? I'd prefer to hear one of Ken Shamrock's old WWF promos. Kane screaming "No" 30 different times & the doctor's expression just sent me into a laughing frenzy. Can a baby actually die from a simple fall from the mother like that?

-You gotta love the basis for the Hurricane's heel turn. It was all because of the kid he gave his mask to. If he hadn't given him that mask...he would have won.

-I realized something tonight. I really don't care about La Resistance. No, I kid, I noticed that long ago. But really, their gimmick was old from day one. Not it's just filler. I actually walked up into the bathroom and started cleaning my sink when their music hit.

-Some good action in the main event & Jericho vs. Michaels. Benjamin looked well in the ring.

-I actually wanted to see what the WEEE had in store for Kane's baby.

-Thumbs Up: Burger King. You gotta love those Whopperheads.
-Thumbs Down: M&Ms. Apparently, rolling around in a tube is an easier way of opening a candy bar than peeling by hand.

Here's where I'd like to see the Kane/Lita storyline going. Kane, in a heelish (yes, keep him a heel) act of adding insult to injury, tells Lita that since she can't bear him a child -- doctors told him that not only did she lose the baby, but she's now infertile as well -- she's of absolutely no use to him whatsoever and he's signed divorce papers for her, cutting her loose.

Lita responds with "because of YOU I'm out of wrestling for six months (or whatever) and not getting paid. You think I'm gonna let you get away scot-free? Until I sign that paper I get HALF of what you do ... so I'm not signing a thing!" Shades of Jimmy Hart owning half of the Hart Foundation while managing the Rougeaus against them, and allows for more hijinks at the expense of Kane, plus Lita can keep the document until Matt is ready to come back and spring it on Kane then. "Okay, NOW I'll sign it."

RAW Thoughts:

No surprise on the "big announcement", but I can always look forward to Vince's walk. And Eugene even mocked it!....So, they booked the first match of a fan-interactive PPV without asking the fans?....The women's match was only two minutes long but, sadly, the feud looks like it'll culminate with a Molly/Stacy one on one match....

Snitsky's acting was so bad, it was funny....I think that kid was laughing when Hurricane took back his mask. At least they seem to have some DIRECTION with this gimmick now. Maybe they'll finally drop it....Average Michaels/Jericho match, sadly, nothing special....

Maven looks more cut than we've last seen him. And that dropkick still looks great!....Phew, Christy won. And phew, that contest is over....Ok main even. So the ref let Trips in TWICE without seeing the tag? Come on....Not a great effort this week.

Yep, SNITSKEY=MONEY=RATING! Good grief charlie brown he has such a odd pitch for a voice. Ok, mine sucks but don't ever let him talk again. Send him to Smackdown so Kane can't kill him and Heyman can talk for him.

Anyways, RAW THOUGHTS, Carmella didn't win! Makes me wonder how fixed it was now and IT'S FINALLY OVER!!! Celebration bigger than HHH's winning title breaks out among wrestling fans everwhere!

+MaVeN with the roll up victory...kewl! Yeah, talk about working out. He's really getting to be in shape.

+Heel Hurricane...I figure it's about time the it goes to gimmick heaven.

+Kane gets POP to go kill Gene.

+Jerchio and HBK hook up again. Is this the first time they've faced each other as faces?!? Nice hair cut on Jerchio.

+Stacy more upsets=more long long long legs on my TV woo.

+I'm almost tempted to by Simon Dean products.

+ RKO!!!

-Lita didn't die, the baby did, but from what she looked like I though she died. Good GAWD was that messed up.

I think that's it for me this week. Taboo Tuesday should be a little fun if they acutally let us choose.

Hoo boy, where to begin...

  • If Eugene and Eric Bischoff had hatred towards each other, then damned if I knew it. Eugene went from immediately attacking his "uncle" one week to prancing to the ring and actually listening to the guy who screwed him. "Special" or not, Eugene should have been chomping at the BITS before Eric tried to smoothtalk his way out of the match.
  • Didn't see the woman's match, so no comment.
  • Gene Snitsky must have gotten coaching from Jacie Gayda with the way he handled his segment. Woof.
  • Hey, Todd. We know that's not a hospital.
  • Looks like they're doing a reverse push for Hurricane, in that he'll snap after losing so much. At least it's something... but that kid who lost the mask couldn't be LESS convincing.
  • Todd interviews Kane... who wouldn't be allowed anywhere NEAR Lita's room were this a real "hospital." I've had close friends in ICU for days and my ass got no closer than the waiting hall.
  • Shawn vs. Jericho... woof again. Match itself was ordinary enough but Jericho flubbed the ending BIG TIME by leaning up TWICE to see when Christian would run-in. BTW to follow up on a previous post, Earl Hebner IS short. Christian is what, 5'10"? He had at least seven inches on Hebner.
  • One of the La Resistance guys vs. Maven. Fuck if I care which one's in the ring, the one I like is on Smackdown. Typical Maven surprise-win match, i.e. he gets beat on for two minutes, comes back with his dropkicks and wins after distraction backfires. Maven's a great seller, but you know who else used dropkicks as primary moves? Greg Gagne and Erik Watts.
  • Kane, Jr. is no more. Again, Kane would nowhere be allowed anywhere NEAR that hospital room... speaking of which it's a nice hospital room... if the year was 1972.
  • Diva contest. Who cares?
  • Six-man match. Unfortunately I was watching at a friend's house who had DishTV and we had a major storm, so the match cut out after the break... but we did get to see Randy Orton blink his eyes while "unconscious." WTG, Gipper.

Well, serves me right I guess for choosing THIS week to come back to watching RAW.

I have a feeling this Kane angle is not over with yet. Gene Snitsky kept saying something to the effect of "I was told to do a job, and I did it". Now we get to find out who arranged this whole thing. Of course, it's the RAW writing team, but that's not what I meant. Who arranged the hit on Kane's baby? Most people will say Kane, but there's a small possibility of Lita (or Matt) arranging the removal of "Satan's spawn". Thoughts?

Honestly, that's pretty much what I thought, although I disagree about Kane: I think Lita paid Snitsky to take care of her "problem." She doesn't have to bear Kane's child, yet Kane can't blame her for it 'cuz he don't know.

Kane: "That was no accident!" Ahh, ironic foreshadowing.

You may be giving the writing team too much credit, although that idea isn't bad. I'm not sure where they'd go with it, since that would make Lita (and I'm assuming Matt) out to be some sicko baby-killers and make Kane a somewhat symapthetic figure. Kane as a good guy usually doesn't go that well after the first few weeks/months, but it looks like no matter what direction they take, that will be the result.

Regardless, I'm guessing it'll be pretty straightforward....Kane beats down Snitskey and turns face, Lita doesn't hate him anymore because they went through a "traumatic experience" together, Kane eventually realizes his wife will be happier with Matt, agrees to divorce, Lita marries Matt, and as Matt kisses his bride they switch to a camera outside the arena where Kane is slowly walking away from the arena while the sad piano theme from the Incredible Hulk TV show plays.

Hm, true. Okay, how about: Matt, unable to deal with this UNHOLY PAIRING, pays Snitsky to do the deed; both Lita and Kane are unaware. Snitsky assures Matt that he (Snitsky) will keep his mouth shut; unfortunately, he (being a new guy in town) underestimates Kane, and, after being beaten unmercifully by Kane next week, Snitsky turns SNITCHsky (ha!) and stooges Matt in a (futile) attempt to save his own skin. Kane and Lita go face; Matt goes heel.

What this does for anyone in the long run, I dunno.

This could be just the thing to comfort me in my Jamie Knoble-less times. If only it'd lead to dropping the superhero gimmick (a long shot, I know).

A pretty blah Raw.

-of the women on the show, why are they pushing the non-wrestler? Especially since she can hardly *do* anything in matches?

-they're not actually going to use Snitsky, are they? I realize they're almost forced into it, but he's not very good. His "interview" wasn't that good, either. You'd think maybe they would have thought that through, and used someone already on the main roster in that spot (*coughPalumbocough*)

-Maven/Grenier was pretty bad. Awful drop kicks from Maven, and he's still pretty limited in the ring.

-I expected so much more out of HBK/Jericho. Looked like both guys sleep-walked through this match.

-ME was OK. Benjamin looked good, and I love Batista's CLOTHESLINE OF DEATH~. Benoit was good cleaning house. OMG ORTON MIRACULOUSLY COMES BACK = meh, as the Orton super-push continues.

Y'know, roughly 1.5 months ago, Benoit was the champ. Now he's utterly directionless, as is much of Raw, as the entire show is focusing on Orton vs. Evolution, resulting in a show that is really dragging lately.

What I'm hoping for? Kane murders Snitskey, calls Lita out, tells her that she's no good to him now that she's not carrying his spawn, chokeslams her, and tosses divorce papers onto her prone form. End of stupid angle.
