This accidental Kidman-London story has the most depth of any story on either show. I really don't know who to support. On the one hand, as Tazz eluded to, mistakes and accidents happen, and if you can't handle it and do your job, then find another line of work. The one thing you don't do is walk out on your partner. On the other hand, Paul London is a selfish prick because he seemingly doesn't give two shits about Chavo and is only concerned about the championship.
I could see either guy going full heel. There's some not-so-subtle arrogance in Kidman's voice. He's "misunderstood." He doesn't want to hurt anyone. It's as if all of a sudden he's the most powerful wrestler in the universe capable of killing people with one move. He doesn't know his own strength. If he goes full arrogant prick heel, he could be like "hey, I took Hulk Hogan out with my move." On the other hand, London has now had a taste of what it's like to be a champion. He could become power-hungry...get back to the top at any cost, even if it's at the expense of somebody else's well-being. Of course, *that* attitude could make him a face. We all know who the bad guys are here, anyway - the bloodthirsty fans.
What will Chavo have to say when he comes back?
Kidman and London may be forgotten in a month, but this storyline is cool. And the best part is that it wrote itself.
Something to think about - if Kidman goes full heel, then he won't be doing the SSP. Those of you who think he was the most boring wrestler in the world when he *did* do the SSP are in trouble.
I'd like to see London go heel and align himself with Angle ... meanwhile Kidman teams more with Rey ... London & Angle vs. Rey & Kidman ... yeah, I'd buy it.
I think it's total bullshit that they split up already. It has been only 2-3 months since they showed up on SD! as a regular tag team (and SD is where it counts, not houseshows or velocity) and already they are splitting up. Why would I care what Kidman or London thinks..Who *IS* London..you know what I mean?
The matches should be great for as long as they last ofcourse.

Don't you think this storyline is actually trying to answer that question?
All Paul London was prior to this was a wrestler who did fancy moves and who won the tag titles with Billy Kidman.
Smart money probably would have said that the two of them were only going to be on SD! for a couple of months anyway. With this storyline they're at least giving me a reason to give a shit.
Originally posted by OMEGAI agree, that I think this is one of the more compelling storlyines in a while, as it's totally believable and you can justify both sides.
Unfortunatley, in the back of my mind, I just know that it's gonna' end with both guys getting sent back to Velocity-hell.
That'd be a total shame, because I can see Paul London at least becoming a familiar name to the fans through this angle. Kidman can waste away on Velocity, but London has a shot to get over here.
In fact, does anyone else see the possibility of a London/Chavo tandem in the future after Chavo returns and inserts himself in this angle?
Kane: Come on! We've had midgets and fire and midgets and Trish as the slutty bridesmaid and midgets. What's not to like? Lita: I guess it still beats anything on "The Bachelor"
As much as this storyline has great potential, I can't help but feel that it's another angle that the 'E has rushed. They could have done a lot more with the two as tag title champs and challengers before going for the split-up feud. These things always work better when you've had the team together for a substantial amount of time - that way it actually seems to mean something when they part ways.
I think the story is interesting as well. I certainly see them team up one more time against a jobber team (probably face as well, Funaki anyone). London convinces Kidman to do the SSP, Kidman does it and "knocks out" his opponent... The ref pauses the match and calls it off and asks for a stretcher. A concern London looks over the opponent just to have Kidman attack London and start yelling "You made me do it, it's your fault!".
Unfortunately SD kind of soured it already by their paranoia of having to pump in crowd reaction to who they want to be considered heel/face. Kidman came out and the SD heat machine was placed on "heel"... I was hoping they'd let it settle a little before showing their hand. All the clues are hinting Kidman turning heel (which is cool because clues are good. Much better than heel turns that came out of no where). But I don't think he's turned fully yet turned, they should jut allow the crowd turn on him with the story even if it wasn't full out reaction. But that's always been a negative of Smackdown.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19
Well yeah they rushed this, but it still has the potential to be compelling and good for the lower to mid card depending on where they get thrown inbetween HEIDENRICH promo's.
There was a blurb on the WWE Website this weekend about London and his version of the Shooting Star Press so it's clear that they will be doing SSP vs. SSP and if that's the case it's not even a contest.
Personally I'd like to see Kidman go ultra prick and gloat about the feud with Hogan.
There really is limitless potential for what they could do. I mean Kidman could say "While you were killing yourself in a highschool gym for a cheap pop...I was bringing Torrie Wilson to mutli orgasm's everynight".
