From the Smackdown spoilers on pwinsider.com:

WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield called out The Undertaker. They brawled with Taker getting the upperhand. Orlando Jordan ran out with the returning Viscera and Gangrel. Undertaker fought back until being laid out with the Clothesline from Hell.

Well, at least it was unexpected, albiet it's still freaking Viscera and Gangrel. I wonder whether it's a long-term deal or just a short-term thing just for the purpose of interjecting into a storyline with Taker.

JBL bringing back former Ministry members (JBL being one himself) almost sounds perversely entertaining.

While it'll be fun to see Gangrel back that first night, it won't take long to remember that he sucks in the ring (IMO).

Well, at least they brought back Rico, too. I was really getting into the Rico/Haas team before the injury back in May.

One question. Did they ever mention the JBL/Undertaker connection with the whole Acolytes deal? If not, then whats the point?

Oh dear God! I like Gangrel and all, but was the world REALLY waiting for the triumphant return of Viscera? I mean, WWE's logic astounds me sometimes. They release one useless fatass (Rikishi), but then weeks later, proceed to bring another useless fatass aboard. I'm flabbergasted.

Does this mean we'll soon see the return of Mideon (hopefully with clothes on)?

Now Taker needs to bring in Faarooq in his Acolyte phase, and start some real controversy...that'd be sweet.

Rico AND Gangrel are back this Thursday?! Holy poo! This week's Smackdown might actually be watchable!! I'm not hyped about Viscera, since he pretty much sucks, but he's just so lame it might actually be cool to see him for the novelty factor.

Actually, it probably would be pretty cool to bring back Ron Simmons. I can't see him returning to his Acolyte phase, but it might be cool to play up Simmons against JBL. Almost like how presidential candidates get a couple people from the opposition's past to come forth with some dirt on him.

If Viscera does his rolling kick, I will be happy. Otherwise, screw 'em.

Don't be too excited/depressed yet. I'm thinking this is going to be a couple-off thing to exploit Bradshaw and Taker's history they're here MAYBE until the Smackdown PPV, and then they're gone.

It's funny because when we watched the PPV last sunday, Gangrel came up in the discussion and we joked about how it would be fun to see him come back.

I know that it's probably a temporary thing but I actually like Gangrel, especially his cool entrance. I used to be a big Brood fan.

Viscera though? Hum. That's like his fourth comeback.

Don't be so sure that Gangrel's here for a shrot while. I mean, they said the same thing about Goldust, and he stuck around, for what...two years?

Big Vis, however...the shorter time we see him, the better, I believe.

The SOK has seen the following cinematic masterpieces so far this year:

Eurotrip; Scooby Doo 2; Shrek 2; The Ladykillers; Spider-Man 2; Anchorman; 13 Going On 30; Day After Tomorrow; Harry Potter 3.

Best: 13 Going On 30; Worst: Day After Tomorrow

I thought the same thing is regards to the Goldust comparison ... and he even got a tag-title reign out of the deal ...

If Gangrel is in shape and can still go ... he might be the guy to help them with bringing Mordecai back and helping him get over with the crowd.

Yeah. Hey, he may not be an amazing wrestler, but at least his entrance is cool, which is more than I can say for half the roster.

The Brood was the only group of people I enjoyed watching next to DX once in a while during the Attitude heyday.

People seem to be forgetting that the reason everyone loved the Brood was the members who WEREN'T Gangrel. Namely, E&C and then later the Hardyz.

Leviathan, I feel the same way. I Would love to see how Edge or Christian, whose characters would no longer fit in the Ministry, would react to seeing this go on, and debating whether or not to get involved. But thats just my kind of thing.
