Going back two years here... I haven't seen WM XIX yet, but its DVD is on sale where I live. So I just want to see what the general consensus on the DVD is. I have WM 2000 and WM 17. Both have amazing extra features (and matches). How does WM XIX fare? Was Hogan-Vince any good of a match? Or the Los Guerreros-Benoit/Rhyno-Team Angle ladder match? Any opinions on the DVD and its extra features would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The WWE Tag Title 3-way was a triple threat match, not a Ladder Match. It was alright. HBK/Jericho is the best match on the card. Hogan/Vince was alright, but suffers from the WWE's "roam and brawl" style of main event. Rock/Austin was pretty good. Lesnar/Angle's good and notable due to the Shooting Star Crapout that nearly killed Lesnar.

I hated the event, all the wrong people went over Matt over Rey, HBK over Jericho and of course, HHH over Booker T. After HHH pinned Booker T, I blocked out the rest of the even till Austin/Rock. The only reason I bought it was Rock/Austin considering its Austin's last match ever or for at least right now. Kurt/Brock is ok, but when you knew Kurt was going to surgery right after it, I was more concerned of Brock killing Kurt. In hindsight, I should have been more worried about Brock killing himself.

If its cheap, pick it up, the DVD extras are pretty good and there are some decent matches in it. The problem for me was on paper, it looks like the greatest Wrestlemania, but the execution was just horrific.

I've got the DVD. The event itself is worth it if you're a mark for WrestleMania like me, plus there are two exceptional matches in Rock/Austin and Michaels/Jericho.

The DVD extras are nothing TOO amazing, but there's some fun stuff there with WM Weekend junk, Road to WM press conferences, history features and they tacked on Goldberg's debut on Raw from the night after Mania. I'd recommend it I suppose.

I'll always remember Taker's entrance from that show, with the pyro and Limp Bizkit's Rollin'. It's one of the best big-time entrances in recent memory. Not sure that it's worth buying it just for that, however.

If its on sale, Id say its a must own.

Hogan vs Vince is one of the most entertaining matches I can remember. Its in my top 10 matches ever. Check out evil Vince peeking over the ring apron after finding the lead pipe.

I actually remember a women's match being pretty entertaining. And also notable for my girlfriend at the time hilariously booing Trish Stratus because I commented on her hotness. Girls are silly.

This WrestleMania put me to sleep. Hogan vs McMahon was a fun match, but everything else wasn't very outstanding and lacked the impact that WrestleMania should give.

This year's WM was a definite improvement, to say the least.

It definitely had its moments. I haven't watched the event in over a year, but here's my rankings of the matches anyways...
1)Chris Jericho Vs. Shawn Michaels - Jericho's kick in the crotch at the end was classic.
2)The Rock Vs. Steve Austin - These two always have good chemistry in the ring.
3)Benjamin & Hass Vs. Los Guerreros Vs. Benoit/Rhyno - Good action.
4)Hulk Hogan Vs. Vince McMahon - Piper's appearance made my night.
5)Brock Lesnar - Alright, but could have been better. Too predictable with Angle's injuries, but then again almost all Wrestlemania main events are.
6)Matt Hardy Vs. Rey Mysterio
7)Trish Stratus Vs. Jazz Vs. Victoria
8)Undertaker & Nathan Jones Vs. A-Train & Big Show
9)Triple H Vs. Booker T - DUD

Second best Wrestlemania ever behind X7 in terms of match quality top to bottom. The best show of 2003. Jericho/Shawn is a MOTYC, Angle/Lesnar and Austin/Rock are both ****, Hogan/Vince is super-fun, Booker and HHH have a very good match even though the wrong guy wins. Rey/Matt and the tag threeway are criminally short, but with the women's threeway being solid, the only bad match on the show is Undertaker vs. Big Show & A-Train. And the Miller Light Catfight Girls Catfight. Purchase it with your money.

A good PPV The Rock vs. Stone Cold was good and also a must own just because it's Austin's last match. Hollywood Hogan vs. Mr. McMahon was a good match with a very suprising return of Rowdy Roddy Piper and Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle WWE Championship match was memorable to say the least. Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels is also good and the rest off the card didn't suck.

The DVD Extras include footage from HeAt of the match that should have been on the card
Rob Van Dam and Kane vs. Val Venis and Lance Storm
Nathan Jones being attack
Goldberg debuts on Raw
Build-up Vignettes to Hogan/McMahon (comments by Mean Gene, Bobby Heenan and Shane training Vince)
Plus promos for the main events and the usual stuff ie post match interviews

...and that's the bottom line cos jk sed so

Aren't you referring to WM 17? Taker had long dropped that entrance song by then anyway.

Fwiw, I too prefer Mania 19 to Mania 20, if only because I find 20 to be extremely overrated..Main-event three-way included(and don't get me started on the fucked up, Canadian wanna-be crowd. Wait.. this thread's about 19). This wasn't exactly a blow-away WM but I definitely think its worth checking out and I find it to be the second best Mania between 11 and 20, with 17 of course being the best. As mentioned there are at least 3 excellent matches on the card and the rest are good to watchable(sans Undertaker squash but almost every Mania has one of these).

If anything, check it out for Brock's "slip-up" and Vince's "crimson mask" smile.

Your right that he had stopped using Rollin' as his entrance music in about mid 2002, but they did use it for WM19 since Limp Bizkit were there.

liked Wrestlemania 19 a lot as well. I think WM20 had more special/memorable moments, but watching both events as a whole I found WM19 holds my interest throughout much more... The only true bad or boring part of the entire event was The Undertaker match and the horrible Bud Lite vs. Stacy/Torrie fluff (heck IMO Victoria & Trish both out sexy them that night and actually had a very good match along with Jazz)

HBK/Y2J was my match of the Year in 2003. Brock/Angle was great to watch and knowing Kurt's injured state made it more remarkable looking back. Hogan/Vince was cartoonish and over the top, but with these two cartoon characters it fits perfectly lol. Didn't like Booker/HHH result but bell to bell the match was one of Booker's best that I can remember in recent times... Women match performed a great match and all 3 worked well in it. Rock/Austin his historical value as being Austin's last match & those two always have chemistry. The WGTT/Guerreros/Benoit-Rhyno had a solid effort. Rey/Matt maybe can fall under a bit disappointing but it's Rey Mysterio even falling a little under his standards is entertaining.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is raised to ORANGE alert - High (Benoit lost the title to some punk kid named Orton, lets look at the positive at least it's a heel not named HHH who has the title, which allows two fresh faces battling for the World title.. whaat? excuse me? what happened on Raw! well scratch that... Over to Smackdown we wave at Justin Bradshaws title reign, I think I'm getting sea sick)- 8/22

I'll miss Corey Graves most of all out of the callups. He is NXT. Well-deserved, fantastic video package. Rest of the show was okay too. You feel about Aliyah like I do about Liv Morgan. I'm just so tired of seeing her every week it seems like.
