See the last post in this thread. It's about moving favorites from AOL to Netscape, but it should work the same way. Essentially, you just select them and drag them into the Bookmark manager.
If that doesn't work, you could use the last utility on this page to export them to IE, then you could use File > Import to import them from IE.

So I think I may be finally giving in and switching from Opera to firefox, mostly because it works better with Gmail. But there are two things I can't seem to do that I'd appreciate any help with. 1. anyway to move the Tab bar to the bottom of the screen? OR anywhere else for that matter?
2. Is it possible to default open links in new tabs instead of new pages?
I think the latest Opera, or maybe the beta, has better Gmail support.
But, to answer your questions, you'll need an extension to do both of those things. Tab Browser Extension, which I can't live without, will let you set the tabs anywhere in the window as well as re-arrange them while using them. It'll also let you set links to open in new tabs based on all sorts of criteria.

The new preview version of Opera does support gmail pretty well, not perfect yet but I'm sure it will be closer eventually. But the browser itself is pretty unstable at this point.
FriedEgg, you're absolutely right about the Tabbed Browser Extension. It should be integrated into Firefox, it's so essential. Someone told me it's good for porn too. But I would n't ever know..
Your experience may be different, but mine has always been the problem is not as much with the McAfee/Nortono software itself, but the way the users use it. Or don't use it.
