Just when you think he couldn't top puttering around on a little scooter on a boardwalk and high-fiving people....
That promo was classic. Even Rock had that "WTF is he DOING?" look on his face for practically the whole vignette. Phrasing stealing, the hulking-up and everything.... DAMN.
Perhaps when Rock does SNL again - he should at least bring Kane with him.
Kane-amania is running wild for all the little "Kane-onites".
Kane does "Rock the Party that Rocks the Body". That s%$t was so funny! I still think that at WMX7 during the hardcore match when he got in the golf cart to chase after Raven was priceless. The Stacker 2 boardwalk commercial was classic too.
I hope they never unmask him though. It totally works for him and makes him unique.
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
I loved The Rock during Kane's breakout performance. When Kane called out all his Kane-onites, and Rock mouthed it incredulously immediately following, that was brilliant comic timing.
The Philly fans, who I think are always tough to please, ate Kane's promo up. Everyone already knows he's an ass-kicker. But adding a personality? I have to agree with Scott Keith on this--if the WWF keeps this up, Kane no doubt will be a major draw.

That`s what I said, Kane was the highlight of the night. And then after that match, Rock got Hogan AND Kane to do the Hogan-posing, and I think we cheered Kane`s versions even more than the originals of Hogan!
Is doing a Hulk impression really "adding a personality"? It's a funny skit, but that's about it. And half the laughs come from it simply being so unexpected. It's one-dimensional with not much shelf life.
I think the Outsider had it right when he said they should capitalize on Kane's "Weakest Link" performance and make him an educated egghead who is a storehouse of knowledge. Still weird and quirky, still capable of some nasty violence, but smart. Now that's a personality. With a real character, the writers have a jumping-off point for all sorts of stuff.
Here is why I thought the Kane thing was so funny:
Before Kane comes in, Hogan asks the Rock if Kane can be trusted. Now having been a fan for over fifteen years, there have been so many "turns," especially as it related to the nWo. So when Hogan asks the question, my mind flashed back to all the turns in WCW to and away from the nWo. And I know that we can't put it past Vince to turn someone to the nWo.
Therefore, when Kane looks at Rock and Hulk, I'm thinking that he will be pissed and that the tension of mistrust will permeate the six-man match. I wasn't really looking forward to another "who will be the next to join the nWo" storyline. I was very pleasantly surprised that Kane went the comedic route in order to tell us that he is firmly a face. The icing on the cake was Kane impersonating Hogan's posing, both in that interview, and after the match.
The Kane-o-nintes thing really got on my nerves after Lawler squeezed it in about 5,819 times durinmg their match, but apart from that it was cool to see the standout star on the team be freakin' KANE.
Although when Hogan and Rock raised his arms I yelled out. "No, don't drop his arms! The ring posts'll blow up again!"
Come on everybody. Kane had to have been the funniest thing thats been on SmackDown! in weeks, if not longer. I literally fell off my couch I was laughing so hard by the time he got to the Hogan posing!
Anything that makes Kane more of a human being with a personality - including a demasking - is an excellent idea. It would be the penultimate phase of his evolution and make the sheep buy him as both a babyface and a main eventer.
(And before you ask, yes, Kane has always been a guilty pleasure for me.) ;)

If Kane loses the mask, what makes him different from, say, The Big Show? Or Nash? Or Test? Or anyone else who is taller than 6'10"?
I'm not saying Kane NEEDS to be unmasked - you do have a point in that the mask sets him apart from the rest of the WWF's big men. I DO think, however, that if the WWF wants to demask Kane in order to advance his character development and set him up for a main-event push, it can only help.
Besides, he'll still have the pyro and the fire tricks to fall back on. :)

The Big Show also tried the comedy routine, including the Hogan parody (The Showster) and then some dancing ...That didn't last long. So I vote for the Strongest Link brain idea instead of the parody comedian.
