Dolphins trade holdout Ogunleye to Bears for Booker (sportsillustrated.cnn.com)

I like this trade, it makes sense for all sides. Maybe the Dolphins can make some noise this season.

I would've liked this deal a little more if they had attempted to get a RB as well in the deal. The Bears have quite a few possibles that the 'Fins could've tried like A. Thomas and A. Peterson.

Anyway, what's done is done. I think the person that misses 'Wale more than anyone is J. Taylor. His numbers may go down now without that presence on the other side.

They also got a third-rounder in the trade as well from Chicago, with the idea (according to the Herald) that they may use that as an opening bargaining chip to get a RB, especially since it's becoming more and more obvious Travis Minor is not the solution.

Jay Williams is at least servicable at LE until they find someone better.

I know Williams is servicable, but he won't take the pressure off of Taylor like 'Wale did...

As a Bear fan I really wish we could have made this trade by giving up an RB and any other WR (Thomas and Terrell perhaps) as Grossman is still essentially a rookie at QB, and we just got rid of the only dependable wideout on this team. I mean, I love us getting Ogunleye as our front four rush is positively anemic, but I worry now that there is absolutely no one out there for Grossman to throw to. Our top three receivers are now David Terrell, Bobby Gage and Justin Wade. Not an intimidating group.

See, I think you've got it backwards. Two years ago Taylor had 18.5 sacks and led the NFL. Then, suddenly out of nowhere comes Ogunleye on his opposite side to pick up the sacks that Taylor lost. I really liked Ogunleye and it sucks to lose him, but I'm expecting a big drop in his production without such a big name on the other end. Now that Wale will be the star of the line and the guy drawing double-teams, he's going to be facing a whole other ball game than he was in Miami.

I'm less than happy with Booker, I was hoping we could get better in return. But who knows, it's one more guy in camp, which at this point has to be good news for my fellow Fish fans. If Booker can come in and not tear his knee up or get stoned and retire, he's a plus.

Gage will be the breakout star this season for the bears.

You're worried!? Marty Booker was the one Bears receiver whom I could remember to keep an eye on while shooting the Bears/Packers game at Lambeau each year for WLS-TV. Now who will your QB overthrow? :-)

And spf2119: when you watch highlights from Bears/Packers at Lambeau on Channel 7 w/ Brad Palmer this year: yep, that's my work. (Has been since 2001.) The W World Takeover continues! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Just keep your camera locked on Terrell. I figure he's good for a couple of stupid newsworthy things every game. Either he'll do a totally stupid classless TD celebration if he does get one, or he'll pout and throw a fit if he's not getting enough balls his way.

And that rocks. So there's at least one highlight in what should be 2 total destructions of my Bears at the hands of the Evil One and his minions. Will Favre freaking retire already? I'm tired of watching him eviscerate my team!
