He is doing DOOM also? Ok that is messed up. I'm still betting that Far Cry is going to be better than Doom as a movie as well as a video game though.

Do you guys not see who the director is listed as? If you don't, let me clue you into the fact that Uwe Boll is one of the worst directors of all time.

Uwe Boll is the bane of my existence. I will not see a movie of his in the movie theater. Why the hell would anyone sell him their movie rights? Did they not see the reviews or the pitiful box office of "House of the Dead"? I know they didn't actually see the movie - no one sane did.

What's to kill? Video game movies have never ever really been good.

Yeah, that's true. But... but... Well it's not something I can argue with, but they could at least get a fair shake, unlike getting handed to this putz.

It took three days of scrubbing with steel wool to clean the filth from the images of House of the Dead. And then came the rubbing alcohol. My retinas never felt better.

You haven't seen any movie directed by Albert Pyun, have you? That would change your views, heh.

As far as game movies always being bad...the first Mortal Kombat wasn't too bad. It pulled some pretty decent money too. It didn't revolutionize cinema but I didn't want my money back on the way out or anything. I didn't see the first Tomb Raider, but that one was fairly popular when it came out.

Aldo is right about Albert Pyun. He did the Captain America movie for god's sake.

You people need to see the PARASITE EVE movie and THEN try to claim that there's no 'good' video game based movies.

...course, when you compare it next to SUPER MARIO BROS. The Movie, ANYTHING can look good.

Now, see, I thought the game was based on the Japanese novel/subsequent movie. Could be wrong though...

And I didn't want to have to bring this up, but Double Dragon, that was a great movie FOR ME TO POOP ON! Directed by... James Yukich, hmmm methinks avoids his crap as well. For it is mighily so.

I see your Double Dragon and raise you Super Mario brothers. Crap in its purest form; dark, stinky and runny.

Well there you go, the best you can say about a video game movie was that it "wasn't too bad." That's hardly high praise. Tomb Raider was a gigantic piece of shit and it got lucky with the amount of money it made. A lot of people were interested so they saw it, but it wasn't popular, note the failure of the equally God awful sequel, Tomb Raider 2.

I know, even more a tragedy considering there were some decent actors were in it: Hopper, Hoskins, Leguizamo. Still I was mildly entertained by the Mario movie, mildly. I wasn't by the Double Dragon movie, but they are pretty much the same level.

Wonder Woman. Green Lantern (well a pic of old GL was in that one ep) In The Matrix they talk about neo doing his "Superman" flying, so theoretically it could not exist there, much like the entire Spin Doctors album Pocket Full of Kryptonite....
