Bear in mind, I'm guessing and working off no dirtsheet information whatsoever.

Even though it violates the given logic of Triple *H* declaring Orton (or more specifically the title) his and his alone, and that it may *BE* not necessarily within the next month or so that this happens, since there's also a matter that has to be addressed first for this person, I just want to wait it out and declare myself right or wrong a little father down the line, if that's O*K*.

Like I said, just a hunch.

Not that it would stop them, but that would make absolutely no sense.

Especially since he'd have to forsake HIS deity and declare HHH his lord and savior. *kidding*

As far as it making sense, yes and no...in the sense that he's ripe for a heel turn it would, but I tend to agree that it doesn't make a ton of story logic sense with the exception of "if you can't beat em, join em". Granted, it's shock value for the sake of shock value, but what it DOES do is give guys like Benoit, Jericho, Shelton and Orton a well-rounded main event level heel to work with.

I'm not saying that the idea is not without its logic gaps, I'm just saying that this is what they MAY do, logic be damned.

If Orton can get the fans behind him, they'll really be clamoring to see Orton break from the group, confront HHH, and destroy him at WM. Of course from what I have read, ti seems the plan is for Orton to hold the title until WM then lose it to HHH, and is Orton is the face, what semse does it make having your top face lose at WM?

Can I at least make a half hearted attempt to point out that dirt sheets are far from reliable bastions of journalism, and that bitching about stuff that hasn't happened is dumb as can be?

Any number of things could happen yet before WM. Orton could have a 'match' against HHH in which he decides not to lay down and gets the shit kicked out of him through quick Evolution interference leading to him dropping the title and taking time off to heal his 'injuries'. HHH could get the snot kicked out him by a vengeful Regal before coming back face to beat a still heel Orton. Orton could retain at WM. Orton could drop the belt to a three legged albino who goes on to face the winner of the RAW Diva Contest at WM.

If it happens, it may be bitch worthy, it may not. But can't we just please, PRETTY PLEASE, wait until it does?

I'm not really bitching about anything because I really liked the angle on Monday and its one of the first things on Raw to really interest me in a long time. I'm just thinking about the rumors floating around about the long term plan and I pointed out something in the future that may be a problem. But no bitching from me.

I can't imagine a black guy, even a lightskinned one, having a place anywhere in Helmsley's vision of Evolutionary order. I just don't buy that.

As to reported Mania main event. Really watching mondays show really felt like one of the many panicked restarts that we've seen in last couple years, like they compressed 6 months of booking into one two hour show.Like they're going to jump the gun on the Mania match and run it early.

Probably have Helmsley face Benoit/Jericho in three way at Mania instead.

I don't think it will happen, but I'd love to see Helms ditch the Hurricane gimmick, and take Orton's place - it's likely too long since his promo w/ Flair that seemed to hint at a heel turn, but the seeds have been planted.

(Actually, I had this complicated scenario where Trips would recruit Edge, Helms, and...someone else, to be the New Evolution, fueding w/ a face faction of Benoit, Orton, Batista and Flair -- I had better stop this, fantasy booking is good for no one.)

They were that close to putting Jindrak in the role, and as a former Teddy protege he surely qualifies as black. At least as much as Rondey Mack anyways.

If they do bother with a replacement HBK wouldn't actually be the worst call in the world. He's at least got reason to be subserviant to HHH, unlike Benoit and Shelton. Edge still seems most likely though of those on the current roster.

I like the point dMr touched upon way back in the first page. I don't understand why any upper-midcard would join Evolution after what happened to Orton. It looks like HHH will turn on anyone who supersedes him. Which means you'll only go as high as IC/tag title... So someone like Edge who it looks like a candidate after this weeks Raw doesn't make sense to go to a group where he should know better that it won't allow him to reach any higher position than he is now. Edge seems too much of a vet & experience to join Evolution.

I think someone like Benjamin fits better, he still fits as a youngster & might be naive enough to to have stars in his eyes to join the legend groups of Flair & HHH and would believe the HHH lies of "It won't happen to me, Orton was the problem". Maven might fit in there was well, but he's been treated like such a jobber I doubt they view him worthy, and his ring skills really hasn't picked up much in the last year... Or it could just be a HHH lackey returning just being happy to have a spot. Oh gosh it is going to be Xpac isn't it!?

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is raised to ORANGE alert - High (Benoit lost the title to some punk kid named Orton, lets look at the positive at least it's a heel not named HHH who has the title, which allows two fresh faces battling for the World title.. whaat? excuse me? what happened on Raw! well scratch that... Over to Smackdown we wave at Justin Bradshaws title reign, I think I'm getting sea sick)- 8/22

Psychologically Benjamin would fit the role when you look at what happened to Orton last week. Randy had always had Evolution on his side, and now has no idea what it's goin gto be like to have them hounding him non-stop. Benjamin, on the other hand, has weathered that storm before, and even holds two victories over Hunter himself. Therefore, he would feel a lot more secure in himself about taking a position surrounded by a pack of bastards who could turn no him at any minute. At least HE knows he could handle them should that eventually occure, and in the meantime he could take advantage of the muscle that the group provides.

So yeah-I'm gonna go with Benjamin. Edge is gonna turn too, but he's a side project, a top heel to be developed outside of Evolution's ranks-which is a damn good idea, may I add.

Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.

Another vote for MAVEN

It was hinted at in several backstage skits months ago (before Maven took his hiatus from tv).

Plus, last night it was hinted at...with Coach and Snow saying he needs to be in the right situation and given the right guidance to fulfill his unlimited potential.

And finally, he had a very good match with HHH last year on Heat right before HHH got hurt (when he was wearing biker shorts under his tights). That match showed that HHH sees the potential in Maven.

He could make a very good cocky heel...no matter what his skin color is...as that is not a factor.

If it is, then at this point they may as well write on his tombstone SEAN WALTMAN: THE SECOND WAVE IN ANY FACTION ANGLE.

EDIT: This is of course with the idea that X-Factor never happened. I meant the big ones.
