Browns fans: your long national nightmare (of 12 days) is over. ESPN.com reports 1st-round pick Kellen Winslow II has signed with Cleveland.

$29 million, including a $16.5 mil signing bonus, and incentives could jack it up to $40 mil.

OK, "Chosen One," is the war over? Can you put the grenades (and/or breakapart gee-tar) away? :-)

I'm not the type to wish bad fortune on anyone, but there's a part of me that hopes he flops worse than Ryan Leaf ... but I doubt that will happen ...

Here's to hoping that Keith Bullock welcomes him into the league properly when the Browns come to Nashville this weekend.

I don't think he's even as good as the Browns thinks he is much less how good he thinks he is. I mean nobody really talked about it much last season but he was a huge disappointment I thought. At the beginning of the season he was the run away Heisman favorite, and by the end of the season he was nowhere near contention. He wasn't even as good as Ben Troupe who didn't go until the second round.

Compared to the type of bad fortune I'm wishing on him, that's pretty tame. Let's just say I'll be looking very forward to the Ravens/Browns matchups this season.

Yeah, I'll give that from my perspective, I hope he gets one good licking this weekend just on general principle. I cannot stand the guy personally. After that, he damn well better catch 2 TD's and 100 yards a game for how freakin' good he thinks he is and how much they're gonna pay him.

Broncs - Man I cannot tell you how terrible a travesty it was to see JOHN BUCKY ELWAY in Canton without little laser dots dancing over him, and then to see the Broncos playing in Canton without batteries being thrown. How dare they soil my homeland with their presence! ;)

Brock Berlin didn't look his way nearly as often as Ken Dorsey did. And that's ignoring the fact that Berlin isn't even as good as Dorsey. Has he (Dorsey) been there 1 more year, Winslow would have had a huge year (IMO).

Dorsey liked to go intermediate to the tight end/RBs more than Berlin does, who seems to prefer to throw downfield first and ask questions later. So the style benefitted the tight end. In 2002 (Dorseys senior year) Winslow and not Andre Johnson was Dorsey's prime target in crunch time.

As far as Winslow goes, he's all yours now, Cleveland.

Even weirder was Bronco fans outnumbering just about everyone during the induction ceremony--in OHIO.

I'm so glad the Skins took Taylor instead of the No Limit Soldier.

Gibbs really looks into a person's character when he decides who will be on his team, and this is a black eye on the son of a man that Gibbs made a star, Winslow the First.

I was really hoping we'd take Winslow the Second and make a great H-back out of him, but after his hold out and Taylor's 2 INTs and a TD in preseason (I know, it doesn't count, but looked great anyway), the Brownies can have him.

You're telling me. Motherf*cker took the Packers' trophy. Hell, if they were just gonna win it next year vs. the Eugene "Where da Hoes At" Robinson-less Falcons, why the hell did he need OUR rightful hardware named after our old coach!?

F*cking Elway. F*cking c*cks*cker Terrell Davis.

And to see Barry "Buy My Book" Sanders up there, too...man, it must've been Poop on the Packers Day in Canton.

I think Robinson still played in that Super Bowl. He's often remembered as the poor soul who was burned by Rod Smith.

And for being a fan of a team that won its most recent Super Bowl a year prior to my team winning its first, you're quite bitter.

If you guys want to admit the year before, that that slippery shit Desmond Howard and motherfucking LeRoy Butler took the trophy that belonged to the Patriots, then I'll happily admit the Broncos took yours.. how's that?

Yeah, but if Bledsoe wins the Super Bowl in '96, HE becomes the legend and the whole Brady/Bledsoe thing becomes maybe a bit more complicated and maybe they don't win two out of the last three with Brady at the helm, so I say, let the Packers have their nice little one Super Bowl win.

Naaah...the Pack was clearly the better team in '96. They even beat the Sports Illustrated cover jinx! (SI had the Chiefs, not your Pats, winning it all in that issue. To quote Jack Chick, HAW HAW HAW!)

Desmond was something special that year, true, but Reggie also got to Bledsoe 3 times, Rison had his one not-behaving-like-a-felon year, Favre was Favre, our D forced turnovers...it wasn't just Howard and Butler.

Besides, I like the Pats. I even bought a Pat the Patriot retro shirt for me and my Boston-born roommate for the AFC Championship game. They do things right, and Vinatieri is f'n CLUTCH. I agree with the above...thanks to our win delaying your time in the sun, you now have the closest thing that passes for an NFL dynasty these days.

Until we beat you again in this year's Super Bowl. :-)
