The Enigma has joined the defending NBA Champions, says CNNSI.com.
Whoa. Corliss Williamson joins the 76ers, and Derrick Coleman and Amal McCaskill join the Pistons. Wild. Certainly Coleman has talent, but he's never seemed to be able to get it together. Then again, he's never been on a team as good as this Pistons team, either.
It'll certainly be interesting.

Hmm. I know the Pistons created a bunch of future cap room by swapping Corliss' contract for Coleman's, and I know Larry Brown loved DC in Philly, but I really wonder if they're kidding themselves by thinking DC can be Rasheed v. 2.0 for them. Or maybe they think Coleman can play a little 5 and cause a few matchup issues when they face the Diesel.

As far as I'm concerned, Dumars has a 5-year pass as far as making moves go. The Pistons are WORLD CHAMPIONS, thanks largely to Dumars getting Rasheed, which many people were skeptical of.
Besides, Detroit fans have wanted DC to come home since his rookie season and, as long as he doesn't continue taking leaks in the bathroom sinks of public restaurants, he could work out fine for the WORLD CHAMPIONS.
Hee! Hadn't heard about that one, Rev. Got any more Derrick Coleman “ain't misbehavin'” stories?

Other than the usual DUI, which half the NBA seems to wear as a badge of honor, not much else. But I figure, since most of his felonious behavior occurs in Michigan, he may as well live here. At least he won't have as far to travel to practice when he gets bailed out of jail.
Enjoy DC in Detroit as he has made the 2nd round of the playoffs only once. As for the Sixers this is a great move they trade a lazy and old player with major injury problems for a hustle player. Sure his contract is up next year but lets face it Billy King made his first good trade since he took the job over from Brown. And for the people who think DC can be another Rasheed for them Coleman is well past his prime and not even Brown can get much from him now. Also the over under on how many times Brown talks about how much he loves Derrick is set at 50.
