You're talking about a promotion that put on ZERO shows, correct?
Not sure what you're getting at, CRZ. I was referring to the website for H2Wrestling. Each wrestler has a profile which includes all kinds of fictitious details, trying to sell certain wrestlers as "way cool" because so-and-so gets primo treatment at all the best nightclubs in NYC, drinks the finest champagne, has all the money in the world, etc.
Full card for Saturday's IWA MS show in Highland, IN:
IWA MS Title Match Petey Williams (c) v. Chris Sabin
Barbed Wire Tables Match Mad Man Pondo v. Toby Klein
AJ Styles v. Delirious
CM Punk v. Matt Sydal
Arik Cannon v. American Dragon
Tracy Brooks v. MsChif
Plus Jimmy Jacobs, Nate Webb, Danny Daniels, Nigel McGuinness, Mark Wolf, Chad Collyer, Ryan Boz and more

The Samoa Joe/B-Boy match got pulled because of Joe reaggravating a leg injury, which is cool, but they replace that with a deathmatch, Chad Collyer and Nigel McGuinness? I appreciate the thought but (1) I don't give a shit about deathmatches and Highland is not a deathmatch crowd, so it won't be as good as it should be in any way, and (2) I was really looking forward to Joe/B-Boy more than anything on the show. So that sucks. I'm HOPING B-Boy will still be there but he's not advertised now and they say the match is rescheduled for the future. Still, four matches worth going for, hard to beat that.
Losing B-Boy/Joe makes me a little less stoked for 7/31, but the card still looks really strong. I like Nigel, Collyer is kind of "eh", though. Hopefully they'll put together some good matches out of the remaining talent and maybe add a Hero match.

Styles, Punk, Cabana, Cannon...all vets of ACW-NWA Wisconsin.*smiles proudly*
Kinda weird to see CM Punk and Colt Cabana, who've feuded all over the indy world w/ their Pepsi vs. Coke subtext, tagging together. Not too surprising to see 'em succeed as a team, though. Outstanding wrestlers...and way cool to work with.
But Foley in Ring of HonOR? FOLEY!? Isn't his "hardcore" legacy the exact kind of thing that the "no gimmick needed" RoH marks shit all over?
Damn, I guess Mick never, EEEEEEEEVER wants another payday from Vince.

Wasn't Foley just on the Smackdown Your Vote stuff? Seems that he's doing what a lot of the guys who no longer work full time WWE schedules do. And I don't think ROH is really an enemy for Vince, since to him they're likely just an indy with a better video distribution network. Now if Foley showed up on TNA then I would agree. But this is harmless to Vince I've got to think.
And ROH's fanbase will adore Foley because they know how hard he worked for his entire career. And having been at the DBD2 show last Saturday, I think they have an appreciation for some hardcore stuff.
And if they didn't like gimmicks, they wouldn't love Jimmy Jacobs so much :)

Nah dude they were into Raven and gave Tommy Dreamer a warm reception the couple times he showed up (while under WWE contract, too). Vince doesn't care about ROH, if he even knows what it is, because I doubt he sees them as even being in the same business as him.
Hey, I just bought a few ROH videos.. I wanted to support the scene and learn about some of the indie wrestlers. I gotta say though, even though the wrestlers are great and put their all into it, I never realized how much I appreciated the quality camera work of the WWE, WCW and such. It's just harder to enjoy the matches when the characters are completely white due to light going into the camera, or other such occurrences.
But even so, this is high quality stuff. Way to go, ROH!
For all the money they pay for lighting and video equiptment and all that, ROH's videos have always been below the standard that Smart Mark is at in terms of picture (and sound). You do get used to it, though.
And while I'm posting, anyone in the Chicagoland area or within reasonable driving distance of it should really check out IWA MS in Highland, IN. They've got the two-day, 24-man Ted Petty Invitational in September, but for 8/21 this is what they have so far:
Dream Match - American Dragon v. Chris Hero Samoa Joe v. B-Boy Homicide v. Arik Cannon Ian Rotten v. Steve Stone
Rotten/Stone should be a hell of a fight, and Dragon/Hero should be worth the price of admission ($10-20) alone. Is that shilling? I'm just recommending.
16 of the 24 were announced for TPI, too. They are:
Petey Williams Chris Hero Austin Aries Alex Shelley Delirious Matt Sydal Nate Webb Rainman Jimmy Rave Arik Cannon Ray Gordy Hallowicked Roderick Strong Todd Sexton BJ Whitmer
Scott, as the resident IWA person here, I'm curious as I've become a huge Jack Evans mark (I dig the flippy-floppy stuff), does he work IWA often? Because I know that would convince me to head up to Highland if he's in the tourney.
Evans has not worked for IWA MS to my knowledge, and I know for sure he hasn't this year. I was hoping they might add him to the TPI but he's booked with JAPW (I think it's JAPW) that weekend. They would've had all of Generation Next by adding him. I would think that eventually he'll be brought in, because eventually everyone comes through, even guys who are getting increasingly impossible to schedule like AmDrag.

Joe -v- B-Boy is out. B-Boy's working JAPW that weekend, and Joe is allegedly debuting for New Japan at that time.

Yeah, I've been getting used to the film quality. I see that different ROH have different styles, in terms of editing, entrances, graphics and such. I like the positivity.. the way that the wrestlers always shake hands before the match and sometimes even after. There is a show of respect (and honor, I suppose) that is like a breath of fresh air, when compared to some of the other bigger promotions.
(1) John Walters over Nigel McGuiness to earn a Pure Wrestling Title Shot on 8/28.
(2) Roderick Strong pinned Izzy of Special K.
(3) The Carnage Crew over B.J. Whitmer & Dan Maff. -"Allison Danger came out before the match and announced the Carnage Crew, and said if they couldn't get the job done she might have to call on Mick Foley to teach Maff and Whitmer a lesson."
(4) Alex Shelley defeated Jay Lethal, Ace Steel, and Too Cold Scorpio in a Four Corner Survival.
"It was at this point Gary Michael Cappetta came out to announce on October 2nd in Philadelphia the Midnight Express would reunite in Ring of Honor. Jim Cornette, "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey, and "Sweet" Stan Lane would be there with a Q & A session scheduled during an afternoon card."
(5) The Briscoe Brothers beat Homicide & Low Ki.
(6) Rockin' Rebel beat Cloudy of Special K.
(7) The Havana Pitbulls beat C.M. Punk & Colt Cabana to win the ROH Tag Team Titles.
(8) Samoa Joe retained the ROH Title over Trent Acid.
(9) Austin Aries defeated Bryan Danielson with a score of 2-1 in a best 2 of 3 falls match. "Before the match they announced that all the falls had 60 minute time limits and both men planned on going long so if anyone got up to leave they would not take offense."
What Worked TKG: Benoit smokes Michaels on the mic and really dig his incredulous facials. PAS: Opening match was pretty good, although kind of spot intensive for a hate filled feud blowoff. The double underhook superplex was pretty great looking.
