I wasn't originally charged to write this review and the reason it came in so late was because apparently no one was. My editor sent out an emergency call to get someone to write one and since I had already seen a screening of the film I volunteered and did it.

If CRZ reads this, I apologize for the grammar mistakes but believe it or not they are not my own. Y'see sometimes when my work gets published it seems they edit some things and leave out some words or punctuation so the grammar gets a little screwed up. But just remember it's not my fault .

I honestly didn't think it was that bad. You really ripped it a new one in your review though. It seems to be getting really lambasted everywhere, which I don't really understand. There are tons and tons of movies released every year that are much worse than this. In fact there are a lot of movies released in the past few months that were much worse than King Arthur. I don't know, maybe I'm a little lenient on these types of swordslinging adventure movies because I like 'em so much, even if the critics don't think they are great works of cinema. Heh, case in point, I have a copy of Willow sitting on my shelf. Plus, any problems I had with the movie were balanced out by Keira Knightley.

Bottom line, if you want to be entertained by a fun film (with admitted flaws) without worrying too much about every little thing, go see it. You could do worse. Hey, it's better than I, Robot.

That's funny using the words balance and Keira Knightley in the same sentence ...b/c...well you know . But I mean, Knightley was hardly even in the movie and her character was pretty one-dimensional so her presence didn't really help much.

I really just said what I felt, and I tried to point out a couple of positive things the movie had like Clive Owen's performance, but it really didn't help things much. And the movie was obviously not made with the original intention of becoming a PG-13 family summer film in which Disney tried to groom it into this year's Pirates of The Carribbean, which it is not.

And really, there is nothing in the film that can forgive Stellan Skarsgaard's performance...not even Keira Knightley's bare gam.

I have a feeling Tim Burton's going to get a nom for Big Fish, although this should be Peter Jackson's year.
