And my basic, initial point is that to call Rhyno a bad worker, for no apparent reason, is ridiculous. The six months he had in the big leagues was and still is enough to make a judgment on his improved in-ring abilities. He is a solid if unspectacular worker who is more than capable of holding his own with the big boys and kicking it up a notch when called for. He is NOT an "abhorrent" worker by ANY stretch of the imagination. Would you honestly put that guy in the same league as Brian Adams, or Ed Leslie, or Sid?

And not to rag on you or anything, but what makes your personal star rating any more valid than Scott Keith's? Or your opinion more valid than Meltzer's or Ryder's? As I recall it, I enjoyed the match, as did many others, and it was even more impressive considering Jericho was CONCUSSED and blowing spots left, right and centre. We're not just talking about Rhyno having a decent match with a ready-to-go Jericho here, we're talking about him getting an enjoyable match out of a guy who'd had his bell rung and could barely keep his balance at times. That is a feat worth mentioning, in my book.

And while we're at it, WHEN has Rhyno performed any of moves while not matching up to your 3 C's (which I must admit are quite a good scale)? He's got crisp execution on his offence and uses those moves in most matches. He was establishing a firm character for himself and getting better and better at working the crowd and garnering heat when he went down with the neck injury. Witness his very good match with Kurt Angle the night before he was "suspended".

Look, I'm not arguing Rhyno's case as the be-all end-all of wrestlers here. But he is not, by any means, a BAD wrestler. As I have said, to call Rhyno a bad wrestler would be akin to blasting a large percentage of the WWF roster. Which you may well do, as I have no idea what you watch on a regular basis.

How did my initial post about my idea for the un-drafted talent get turned into an argument about if Rhyno and/or Chris Jericho is a "good worker" anyway?

Monte's right, this little mini-thread could have been an independant one.

To answer the question, I think they should bring in some extra talent and have a 20-30 man tournament over a few weeks to determine who comes in. You know, the top 8 guys get contracts, the top 2 get shots at the European and IC titles. It'd e a good way to give some tv time to guys we'd normally never see.

There are no facts-only observational postulates in an endlessly regenerative hodgepodge of predictions. Consensus reality requires a fixed frame of reference. In a multilevel, infinite universe, there can be no fixity; thus, no absolute consensus reality. In a relativistic universe, it appears impossible to test the reliability of any expert by requiring him to agree with another expert. Both can be correct, each in his own inertial system.

Was that the night a screw came out of the turnbuckle and caused the ropes to be loose? I think Jericho messed up those spots because of this, but I could be wrong. I remember hearing an audible "KLANG" during the match and thought "what the hell?" and sure enough, on several sites the next day it was confirmed the ropes were faulty.
Was that Summerslam?

    RC Haas
    Shannon Moore
    Tiger Ali Singh

By my count, 6 have never appeared on WWF TV-Orton, RC Haas, Shannon Moore, Sanders, Johnny the Bull, Jamie Knoble. Maybe Jindrak, I can't rememeber.

Two others-Eric Angle, David Flair- have been on TV in the past but never wrestled.

That list doesn't seem complete to me. Like mentioned Rhyno is not on there. And what about Shelton Benjamin, Haku, The Island Boys, Haku and the Dupps (or were the Dupps released?)

Like it's already been stated most of the good talent in this group like Awesome and Kanyon are injured. The others who have been on WWF tv before I don't think have much of a chance of having a successful career (Godfather, Hugh Morrus). And the other developmental guys might not be ready yet. Although I think O'Haire, Sanders, and Knoble have to talent to be there someday. But since I don't watch the developmental leagues that just based on what I saw in WCW and haven't seen how them, or the other guys have come along.

As for Benoit, he was on Excess like three weeks ago, and said he was getting in the ring that coming up week, so he's probably already dusting off the ring rust, so it should be just a matter of time before he's back, while Kanyon, Rhyno, Awesome etc. I think are still injured for quite a long time.

And lastly, Heat is on MTV and has a good timeslot, but isn't Excess on MTV too? I know the timeslot probably isn't as good since i don't think as many people watch wrestling on late Saturday Night as much as they do early Sunday Night, but still one show getting Excess and one getting Heat is a pretty fair trade. Then Jakked could be a review show.

EDIT: Ok, i see that second list now, didn't see it the first time through.

Do you have some kind of fascination with Haku?

I think there was an omission. It probably should've read "...Shelton Benjamin, Haku, The Island Boys, Haku's Pants, the Dupps, and Haku's Afro..."

Just imagine the storyline hooks if, say, Raw got Haku and his 'fro while Smackdown got his pants.

This thread (board.deathvalleydriver.com) over at DVDVR looks like it has some that you didn't list. I'm sure Dean would know some more since it seems like been doing Comix and such for every indy in North American these days.
