I have to agree with the Dr. on this one. I think Angle wil eliminate HHH or vice versa, or both eliminate each other at the same time setting up a feud with them and Stephanie that will hopefully end the feud. Notice how Stephanie didn't show up with HHH? She will be upset about that perhaps?

I think Austin will win the Royaly Rumble, but I think he will also wrestle Booker T, and Booker T will get the win, hopefully without Bossman's help. So then Booker T will say he should get the title shot since he beat Austin blah blah blah

Then the Rock vs. Jericho feud continues until No Way Out.

So then you have at No Way Out:
Rock vs. Jericho - Undisputed Championship Title
Austin vs. Booker T - for shot at title at WM
HHH vs. Angle w/Stephanie

So Austin beats Booker T to go onto Wrestlemania where he either faces Jericho or the Rock.

Then after that I would hope Jericho retains the title throughout and feuds with HHH but I doubt it (the retaining the title part, not he feuding with HHH part)

As for Nash, I could see one of two things, either he enters the Royal Rumble and eliminates Undertaker and then they feud. Or he comes in and gets eliminated by RVD, and they feud.

If they really wanted to they could easily stack Wrestlemania this year.

The Rock vs. Jericho
Stone Cold vs. Booker T
HHH vs. Angle
Nash vs. RVD
then you still have Benoit, Edge, Regal, Storm, Test, Christian, Hurricane, Undertaker, Kane, Dudleys, Hardys, Taz, Kanyon (should be back by then), DDP, Steiner?? Mysterio??

I don't see it being possible for the Rock to win the title and Austin to win the Rumble. That would be to quick and predictable. I'd like to see them both lose.

Also if it does come down to HHH and Jericho at WM, they would have to abosolutly destroy each other to make Jericho believable as the winner.

Also, bck in 1999 the title changed hands twice (three times if you count the Rumble PPV too) between the Rumble and WM. And, as for the reason the title is untouchable, they want to give the champ some momentum heading into Wrestlemania. If the yhave a title change right before WM, it takes away from the change at Wrestlemania.

The number one contender stip has taken a lot of the fun out of the Royal Rumble. It would be nice to see some midcarders dump some of the top guys.

They have a chance to continue to build Kurt... Have him dump Austin, Van Dam, Undertaker, and HHH to win.

The WWF hasn't taken a chance like that since 97, when they allowed Austin to take out Bret, Vader, and UT - albeit in screwy fashion.

I honestly think Kurt will take it when he dumps HHH. But I'm not known for ever being right.

Remember, though, Undertaker beat Triple H at Wrestlemania last year.

And judging by the Smackdown Spoilers, the creative team hasn't forgotten that either.

If anything, I think they're going to build to a UT/HHH rematch at either No Way Out or Wrestlemania, further freeing up The Rock and Jericho to go at it in the main.

Yeah, but you have to look at what's best for the upcoming split...unless you are a booker of course.

Here's my shot at embarassing myself...er, predicting winners.

Nash comes in early, clears the ring, but is taken out by either Big Show, Kane, Taker, or an alliance of smaller guys shortly thereafter (he's got bad knees, short matches = better).

Val, Godfather, Perfect and Goldust have respectable showings, but (like all the other "surprise" entrants) vanish without any major happenings, probably being eliminated by...

HHH, showing up midway through and also doing well for himself, perhaps tying 'Taker for total eliminations in the final tally.

'Taker will enter fairly late, to cover his injury, but will eliminate many in a short period of time as people instinctively job to the Dead Man. Eventually, he'll be eliminated by HHH to set up a match at the next PPV, since they seem to be teasing something along those lines.

The Rumble Push this year will most likely go to RVD, who will enter early and last long, although he won't score the coveted most elimination prize. Also lasting fairly long will be Lance Storm and The Hurricane, but all three will fall before the Final Four, who will be Austin, HHH, Angle, and the traditional "I can't believe he made it this far" person, who *could* be RVD, but I doubt it. Probably will wind up being Edge, Christian, or Tajiri.

The final eliminations will be "long shot", followed by Austin (taken out by HHH in a teased heel turn), followed by Angle as he gloats over Austin. HHH wins, to face Jericho at Wrestlemania, co-main eventing with Rock/Austin II: Electric Boogaloo.

Smart Money Bet: Triple H

If It's Not Him, It'll Be: Steve Austin

Long Shot Bet: Test (hey, he DID win the Immunity Battle Royal)

Guy I'm Most Excited To See Again: Tie between Val Venis and "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.

Guy They Don't Dare Let In The Rumble, For Fear Of Everybody Being Ripped Into Many Small Pieces: ....THE GOON!

You know, I hadn't thought of Test. But, if he wins, he's not main eventing Wrestlemania. They'll screw him out of that within a week, I'd hope...

Y'know, there are some assumptions being made along the way when people "reverse book" to get the winner; like the fact that the WM main event will be a one-on-one match, and it has to be a combination of Rock-Austin-Triple H.

The roster is SO loaded at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if they went the way of WM2000 and had a lot of three-way matches. Look at the number of people that could conceptually win (as in, are in the main event mix):

HHH,
Austin,
Kurt,
________ McMahon

And even some "surprise" winners that could lose a #1 contender's match:

Rikishi,
RVD,
Big Show,
Test,
Booker T,
Taker,
Nash (if there).

Well, at least it's stacked in terms of curiosity for the result for me, anyway. I hope that Austin doesn't win, simply because it means that he gets four victories, and really skews the record books.

I think another good question is: will people be doing double-duty on the Rumble night or not?

Oh, and usually in the Final Five, there will be some loser that won't win. Who will it be this year?

I think the Rumble comes down to HHH, Austin, and Angle. Wow, that was bold. I'm going with Angle as the winner though. One thing I'd like to see would be Shawn Stasiak charge the ring heading for HHH, who sidesteps and lets Stasiak fly out over the top rope. Like he did two or three times with the Rock on the Smackdown after 9.11 Also I think Y2J might get involved with the finish of the Rumble in some screwy Rock in 98 fashion.

Now wouldn't it be sweet if Stasiak was the guy that goes a long way?
Somehow, he manages to stay in for a long long time, be it by doing some Road Dogg rope hold or by sheer luck or skill..
And then Hennig comes out and goes after him..

My brain tells me it will be one of the already mentioned names (HHH, Angle, Austn)
But my heart hopes for Booker..or HHH *grin*
It would be deserving for the Book to win the Rumble, even if they screw him out of a shot at WM laters.
Funny that the Taker isn't really amongst the candidates for winning it.

Or, what would be really funny is if the entire ring fills with wrestlers, and then Stasiak comes down because he's next, except he's charging. But before the match, he was brainwashed into throwing clotheslines. [brainwashed is a little extreme... let's say he fell under the power of suggestion] So, then, he eliminates a lot fo the lower card just by bouncing off the ropes and hitting clotheslines over the top rope, because all of the higher card players are busy. But once he eliminates like five or six guys in a row, someone just ducks the clothesline and backdrops him to the outside.

He then gets pissed off and cries like a baby.

...

[read over the idea]

...

Well, it was funnier BEFORE I typed it out :|

Hey, here's my predictions:

Triple H wins the Rumble clean
No Way Out: Jericho retains against Austin
WrestleMania: Jericho retains clean against HHH, then the WrestleMania IX finished is dusted off as Benoit comes out, challenges Jericho and wins the title...

Final Four
(Triple H, Nash, Austin in ring.Austin is flat on his back.)
HHH: (whispering to Nash) Hey, lets eliminate Austin together!
Nash: OK!
Austin: (groggily) What?
(Nash lifts the dazed Austin into the jacknife powerbomb. On the way down, HHH hooks the arms and it turns into an inverted pedigree. They toss him out.)
Austin: (dead) WHat?...WhaT?(Goes to shake Nash's hand out of respect. HHH hits from behind with the Loaded steel forearm of doom and eliminates Nash as crowd picks up on the countdown.)
Crowd: 5...4...3...2...3...2...7(crowd noise is pumped in to cover up)3...2...1...(no one comes out)
HHHlooking around, grabs mic) Well, I guess that means Game Over!
(Curt Hennig walks out)
PerfectCurt: This was supposed to have been my slot, but they spelled my name "Henning" and I haven't even warmed up yet. So I've picked the ultimate wrestler to fill my spot...

(HTM appears to have swallowed Jim Hellwig)
HTM:Thank ya very much!(eliminates HHH with 3 clotheslines, a flying shoulder tackle, a big splash, and a gorilla press out of the ring. This sets up a WM main event of HTM vs. Sheepherder Luke for the Heavyweight Title.)

Huntrer wins the Rumble, beats Taker at No Way Out, and beats the Champion (whoever that is, not likely to be Jericho) at WrestleMania. Simple as that. Hunter's gonna get the world injected into him... er... HANDED to him... on a silver platter.

Answers -- we need ANSWERS!!!

"Will one of the top guys i mentioned win it, or will they try and swerve us by someone else winning, and then they lose their shot before WM?"

... I'm thinking "swerve".

"Also who do you think will be the last five in the match?"

... Austin, Angle, HHH, Big Show, and the eventual winner.

"And who do you think will last the longest?"

... Probably Angle.

"And who will eliminate the most people."

... Weeeeeeellllll, well it's the Big Show.

"But my question is who do you think will win?"

... A surprise late entrant --- Maven from "Tough Enough".

Maven will eliminate the Big Show with a VICIOUS dropkick to win the Rumble, upon which "Jumping" Jim Brunzell will hit the ring and immediately engage Maven in a contest to see who possesses the superior dropkick. Brunzell and Maven will perform alternating dropkicks to the face on one another for several minutes, until both are out of breath and staggering around the ring ... when out comes King Kong Bundy to a MASSIVE pop. Bundy avalanches Brunzell! Bundy avalanches Maven! Bundy drags both to the center of the ring; stacks Maven on top of Brunzell. BIG SPLASH on both of them!! Bundy covers and orders the ref to COUNT TO FIVE!!

Show over.

I'm sure "Hot Newz" will have the post-Rumble "Raw Spoilerz" ready for those who are interested.
