I listened to Observer Live last night. Dave is great on the show. He sounds more like a fan when talking than when writing. Anyway, Konnan was on and Dave asked about Rey. He said that Rey got his offer from JR and would be signing it shortly. Konnan mentioned that it is less than what he would have taken, but since there is only one game in town, that is what you have to take. He also talked about Eddy is coming back soon, and since Eddy has backed out of a New Japan tour, I guess he will be back soon. He also talked about Ken Shamrock who is trying to decide if he wants to go on the road again with the WWF for the money they are offering.
Konnan was actually a good interview. He totally is a straight shooter, but didn't come across as bitter or an ego maniac. Quite surprising to me.

January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
Konnan usually is a great interview. I haven't heard him do a bad shoot interview yet. He's very honest with his past, present, and future, and it helps that he is a fan of wrestling as well. And for the Obersver Live show being back, it's in a crappy time for people on the east coast, but I'm willing to deal with it.
He's a war-weary Republican assassin haunted by an iconic dead American confidante She's a high-kicking gypsy stripper with a flame-thrower. They fight crime!
...And I'm sure that you are basing that opinion on the last time that the WWF misused Rey...oh wait, Rey has never been in the WWF. Well, certainly you are referring to the WWF giving Eddie the European belt and the time that he was over as Latino Heat with Chyna. Oops, I guess we will have to wait and see how Vince uses Rey and Eddie this time around before we make our crystal ball judgments.
it's good to hear the talks with rey are serious and they might be giving eddie a second chance. (although i wonder if hiring eddie back might not be an act of fuckery towards WWA.)
i watched the final nitro last night and the cruiserweights tore it up. kidman and rey really finished their nitro careers on the right note. according to terry taylor (via scaia's interview at online onslaught) shane and patterson gave them the whole show. rey worked his ass off and deserves his shot.
it's be really cool if he came back under his mask. he's cute and all, but he looks 12 in comparison to everyone else out there.
It's just you against the group mind. I like weiners.
Come on, Torch, don't squash the cynicism! The WWF has dropped the ball enough with talented guys for us to expect them to totally screw this up! The bright spot is, Rey and Eddy will make a fat paycheck in compensation for being given crappy angles and mediocre gimmicks, a fair trade!
Now, hopefully, just to spite me and the other cynics, the WWF will do these two right and give them a decent amount of tv time along with great gimmicks and angles. And just for a suggestion: NO LAWN DART TREATMENT FOR REY-REY!!! If anything, Let Rey get some payback (like a field goal kick to Big Daddy Bitch's nuts!). And Put Scott Hall and Eddy together as a tag team and actually do a decent job playing off the alcoholism. Hey, the gimmick was done well, and it lasted Dean Martin over 30 years! It could work.
There are no facts-only observational postulates in an endlessly regenerative hodgepodge of predictions. Consensus reality requires a fixed frame of reference. In a multilevel, infinite universe, there can be no fixity; thus, no absolute consensus reality. In a relativistic universe, it appears impossible to test the reliability of any expert by requiring him to agree with another expert. Both can be correct, each in his own inertial system.

I'm just glad they're going through with the split -- maybe now everyone can get some TV time and stuff. I too would be skeptical if it were two more guys to try to get into the mix on a weekly basis.
it's gonna be back...Vince is gonna injected some "venom" into the Smackdown brand...he's gonna kill "his brand"...with the help of the L.....W......ooohhhh....(mariachis play)
One of my proudest possessions is a group photo of the ENTIRE LWO, It's gotta be 15 Luchadores in full LWO garb, with Eddy in the middle just looking all snotty and evil. It's right up there with the La Parka photo on my wall!

La Parka looked so hilarious in LWO gear. Gotta love it. And Eddy makes a great evil leader. I even enjoyed the stupid will he or won't he stuff with Rey Jr. Personally, I saw just make Eddy and Rey a tag-team package when they come in. The two of them could make Billy & Chuck cry like babies. :)

Good Idea GodEatGod or even better CHAVO and EDDY if only that would mark the return of the EDDY GUERRURO IS MY FAVORITE WRESTLER! T-shirts CHEAT TO WIN BABY!!
BTW were those shirts avalibe for sale, if there was ever a highlight for 1998 WCW that was it.
Rey and Eddie or Eddie and Chavo would both be great tag teams but one of the best tag teams ever assembled in the WCW was when heel Eddie and heel Jericho teamed up from time to time.
