Didn't you expect to see "Paris Hilton Has Parasites" in the news before you saw the same headline about Jason Giambi ?

There a Yankees joke here somewhere, but that would be too easy :)

God Bless Ronald Reagan, and may he rest in peace...

* * * * * * *

For decades, American had waged a Cold War, and few believed it could possibly end in our own lifetimes. The president was one of those few. And it was the vision and the will of Ronald Reagan that gave hope to the oppressed, shamed the oppressors and ended an evil empire . . . Ronald Reagan was more than a historic figure. He was a providential man who came along just when our nation and the world most needed him.

Fellow Americans, here lies a graceful and a gallant man.
- Dick Cheney, 6/9/2004

Reagan had a rare and prized gift called leadership, that ineffable and sometimes magical quality that sets some men and women apart so that millions will follow them as they conjure up grand visions and invite their countrymen to dream big and exciting dreams.-Brian Mulroney, 6/11/2004

The Sunday NY Post had a story on it entitled Giambi Gets Dyssed, which went on to detail his violent dysentary since June 8th. Brutal.

And more and more evidence builds up for my Curse of Giambi theory. Since he joined the team they haven't won a world series. (Though arguably there are other rationales for this, but I am sticking to my theory.)

And for Grimis, my favorite conservative, "You mean a Steinbrenner has started infecting people now?!" ZING!

Now NESN says that Kevin Brown has parasites as well.

Steinbrenner took a moment to point out that he is *not* a parasite, but rather an alien symbiote that feeds on player greed and craps ego and bluster. And that there is a difference.

Giambi had to pinch hit for Jeter after Jeter did the stage dive catch in extra innings, and Giambi looks tiny.
Mentally, I waived the white flag on the division in mid June, but after blowing an extra inning lead, the division race is dead. I'm starting to have fond memories of the Joe Kerrigan managerial reign at this point. Millar has to have compromosing pictures of the mental pigmy manager with farm animals at this point. And, in a brief recap: Impressive diving catch in to the stands by Reese at shortstop. All-Time great catch by Jeter into the stands at shortstop. Meanwhile, Nomar Garciaparra was threatening to hold his breath in the corner, as he still bitches about how dare anyone should have contemplated trading him this past off-season. All the while, those of us Red Sox fans who haven't yet driven 90mph on a bridge and taken a violent right turn midway across ponder whether Garciaparra lost it because he's not on the juice anymore, or because of Tiger Woods disease.

Any third world countries want Kevin Millar? I'll throw Ramiro Mendoza in the package just to give you a good deal.

Well that could very well be true... but perhaps he laid his eggs in the Gatorade?

That or someone in the clubhouse bet Giambi, and Brown about eating some of Boomer's leftovers.
