How about in the same vein as the Cage Match DVD, a Greatest Ladder Matches DVD?

You'd have to include obvious choices like HBK/Ramon, HHH/Rock, and something from the all Hardyz/Dudleyz/E&C Ladder/TLC matches.

Other possible matches:
Michaels vs. Hart (First ever WWF Ladder Match)
Benoit vs. Jarrett (Starrcade '99)
Benoit vs. Jericho (Rumble '01)
Hardyz vs. Dudleyz vs. E&C vs. Benoit & Jericho (Smackdown)
Undertaker vs. J. Hardy (RAW)
RVD vs. Guerrero (RAW)
RVD vs. Christian (RAW)

I know I'm missing a bunch, these are just off the top of my head.

People keep mentioning for a Hogan one...they already DID do a Hogan one less than two years ago, and a pretty darn good one at that. Until the Flair collection came out I'd say it was the most comprehensive collection of matches for anyone.

I agree with the people above on a Savage one (that list above is decent, but they need to at least have one or two things from his pre-WWF years to make it really complete) and a new Undertaker one...that "This Is My Yard" one was decent for the time, but that was basically the infancy of WWE finally doing some decent home videos. It was a single disc and only had a few extra matches on it...although it did include the inferno match and the first HIAC.

I know I'm reaching here but how bout a Best of WWF Saturday Night's Main Event? Some matches to include:

*Hulk Hogan vs Paul Orndorff (Cage Match)
*20 Man Battle Royal (Where Andre headbutts Lanny Poffo and busts him open).
*Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant (title Match)
*Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage (Title Match from Main Event)
*Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog (IC Title)
*Rockers vs Brainbusters (2/3 falls)
*Mega Powers vs Twin Towers (Savage turns on Hogan)
*Hulk Hogan vs Harley Race
*Randy Savage vs George Steele (Lumberjack Match)
*Hulk Hogan vs King Kong Bundy (Andre chokes Hogan out after the match)

There would be more and these are just the one's off the top of my head. YOu could also include the best of the promos they would do before the intro music, where they stood in front of thier logos with the black background.

Tag Team Gold: The Best of Tag Team Wrestling All Stars
The DVD shows clips of all the great teams, and great matches. First focus on the rough tag teams of the 60s and 70s. Then go to the partnerships in the 80s and early 90s. Finnally go into the high flying style of the 90s and today.

Teams to look at:
Briscos
Andersons (Gene and Ole)
Rhodes and Murdoch
Rock'N'Roll Express
Midnight Express
Midnight Rockers
Horseman
Road Warriors
Sheephearders/Bushwackers
Steiner and Sting
etc..

This will probally be a 3 DVD collection or maybe a series of DVDs.

I myself would love a DVD of SNME, and would buy it in an instant. I have an old hour long tape called the Best of SNME, although it features great matches like Hogan & Tugboat vs. Rhythm & Blues. There is a really swank Perfect/Santana match on there, though. I'd love to get some of those old matches on DVD, although I'm not sure there's much of a market for them.

Another idea I have is a DVD of Unusual Gimmick Matches. Not things like cage or ladder matches, but very rare or even one-time gimmick matches like the Ambulance Match or the Stretcher Match. Grab a couple matches from the Raw Roulette shows, the Capture the Midget segments would be a fun addition. Throw in old school matches like the Blindfold Match from WMVII or the Jailhouse Match from SS '91, along with all the following segments where the Mountie makes a new friend in jail.

Wrestlemania collection.

One every three months.

Should've been done around XX, didn't happen.

Probably never will.

It would be pretty sweet to see a "Best of Superstars" or "Worst of Dwayne Gill" too. You'd get a lot of guys and their finishing moves onto a disc or two. I would TOTALLY pay for it.

They ARE re-doing all of the old WrestleManias, two per DVD no less, although so far the offer's only available in Europe. I think they're up to WrestleMania IV now.

I think one idea that might be fun, is a year by year best of. But instead of showing the big pay per view main events, show the TV matche, using the pay per view matches as a backdrop.

So say you get the 1989 DVD, instead of showing Hulk/Savage WM5 match, you see the Brother Love show where they were hinting at break up, the SNME match where they broke up, interviews leading up to the match, and Savage and Sherri's backstage assault on Hogan and Liz after the match ended.

The possibilities with easter eggs and extras are endless. And they get to put on DVD, what we would have to watch on 3 or 4th generation VHS.

How about a DVD covering the great talkers of the business. Each performer is given 5-10 minutes where they and their friends/admirers talk about what it was they did that made them so good on the mic and then load the extars with some of their best interviews. I loved all the classic Flair interviews almost as much as I loved the matches.

Wrestlers I would include:

Ric Flair (duh)
Arn Anderson
Mick Foley
The Rock
Steve Austin (include as much of his pre-What and Hart Foundation feud era stuff as possible)
Vince McMahon
Chris Jericho
Bobby Heenan
Dusty Rhodes
Terry Funk
Hulk Hogan
The Ultimate Warrior (a joke Easter Egg where wrestlers try to translate what it was he said)
Roddy Piper
Paul Heyman
Bret Hart (especially his 97 stuff)
Triple H (you know he'd insist on being in it)
HBK (ditto)
Sid (well, I thought he was good and entirely convincing as a guy who didn't really know what he was saying, but he was big as hell so it didn't matter. If he was yelling a cookbook ingredients in my face I'd shit myself)

I'd love an Owen Hart set, even if you probably wouldn't be able to get the rights to Stampede footage. They could even give the profits to Martha and maybe make the Hart family hate them a little less.

Owen vs. Mr. Perfect (Wrestlemania '89)
Some sort of High Energy match. There's got to be a Owen/Koko vs. The British Bulldogs match lying around somewhere or something)
Owen/Bret vs. The Quebecers (Royal Rumble '94, Owen turns heel)
Owen vs. 1-2-3 Kid (King of the Ring '94, Owen wins tournament)
Owen vs. Bret (Wrestlemania '94, duh)
Owen vs. Bret (Summerslam '94, Cage match)
Owen vs. HBK (IYH VI '96, during whole Enzuigiri of Doom thing)
Owen vs. Bulldog (Raw '97, afterwards everyone hugs)
Hart Foundation vs. Austin, Shamrock, Goldust and LOD (Canadian Stampede '97, crowd is just ridiculously behind Owen, who does the most work and gets the final pin)
Owen/Bulldog v. Austin/HBK (Raw '97)
Owen vs. Ken Shamrock (Summerslam '98, Lion's Den match)
Owen vs. Edge (Breakdown '98, near the end, but Owen goes over before a crazy home-town crowd.)

Plus, of course, there's tons of promo material to choose from. As an Easter Egg, you can put in one of the matches where he intentionally sucks as much as possible.

No way. I popped everytime I see them show up. Just a guilty little pleasure of mine. Especially after they released Pete Gas.
