This week its less mocking, more actual match analysis. Odd.

What Worked

TKG: The womens match was fun. Trish with a real nice spinebuster and just at the point that I say "I wish Stevie Richards would come out to make the save", YES its Ms. Atlanta Lively!!! Only person on the roster who might be able to get a good match out of Tomko is Richards. Condrey's back...book Condrey and Tomko vs. Garvin and Richards in drag in an Atlanta Street Fight and you'll have my PPV money. Yes you will.

PAS: Really nice Delta Chi Semi-Formal suit on Randy Orton.

TKG: I don't know if that was Rick Michaels doing, or if Miami just has great suit rental places. but everyone had nicer suits then normal. Don't even get me started on Rock's ironed wife beater, ironed jeans and Timbs.

PAS: Rock looked really On the Down Low tonight.

PAS: Godamn did everything Regal do look beautiful. Another 90 seconds that would have been my match of the week.

TKG: Nice suit on Regal too. And fuck thank God we get to see him wrestle again. Just watching Regal makes me happy. His punches, that headbut ... and the signature euro style flip bump on the floor. Weirded out by the Regal is legit knocked out and Kane accepts the win. I kept waiting for Kane to refuse the win.

PAS: Damn that tag team match was fucking great. Batista is just wandering around killing people. I really don't remember him being as entertainingly sloppy before. I also really enjoyed the forearm exchanges between Orton and Edge, Edge is always pretty good as a mediocre Shiga taking a beating but his offense actually looked nice. This might be my favorite of these series of matches.

TKG: Yeah this match may have been the best of the Edge/somebody vs. Evolution series. The first Edge/Orton forearm exchanges were hurt by Orton not throwing good enough forearms. Yeah I said it Edge with good offense. Their next exchange was really great as both were willing to work like if Akitoshi Saito was taller, had shittier tatoos, and more fem hair. Jericho who normally looks really mediocre and lost in brawling face role looked really solid here as I liked his stuff alot. And Batista was on fire. Looks like Nise Candido is gonna turn on Nise Shane Douglas before Nise Beast From the East. I mean no way is Helmsley going to be willing to take Batista's offense. Edge with the bulldog with a headlock. BULLDOG WITH A HEADLOCK IN THE WWE!!!! I mark out and do a dance.

What Didn't Work

PAS: Only one of those women had a masculine enough face to be a WWE Diva. I am looking forward to the segment where a furious and embittered Ivory tears their patella tendons.

PAS: According to T.C. Brimstone there are lots of little Hardy Boyz out there so I don't know why Fathers Day is all of a sudden so meaningful.

TKG: According to latest WON, Kiebler and Tori Wilson have just rented an apartment together in Hollywood and are trying to get into acting. There has to be someone who reads these reports who works in Hollywood. Please bring in Stacy and tape her doing a rehearsal reading of Mary Tyrone. Aw, fuck that. I don't need her doing Eugene O'Neil or Lady Macbeth. I would just be happy to see a vidcap of her trying to do a Bogosian monologue.

PAS: Flair is apparently still pissed at having to carry Luger for all those years and orchestrates beating on a different retard. Most of Eugene's matches have been fun as Eugene does a bunch of nifty counter wrestling spots, Helmsley clearly can't pull off counter wrestling as well as Coachman or Johnny Nitro so they have to do shitty brawling instead.

TKG: Goddamn does Helmsley have some bad standing switches. This was really poorly layed out. The secret to Eugene matches is him stringing stuff together. Helmsley never lets him string two moves together here. Eugene hits one bit of offense and then Helmsley roles out of the ring. Eugene's schtick is built not on any one piece of offense but on how he chains two pieces together. The only time he's allowed to do that here is when he does the Rip Roger finisher section of airplane spin into double axe handle. When that doesn't work I was hoping he'd go for Rip Rogers superplex. Instead he really goes for nothing as well Helmsley just no sells the finisher and apparently Eugene isn't going to do the Ripperplex. This makes all of Eugenes post finisher offense obviously meaningless. The Eugene is surprisingly strong stuff was shitty. This Eugene surprisingly strong stuff just doesn't work. It would work if the retard was Rick Steiner, but Eugene's schtick isn't Steiners. it's Rip Rogers'. Rip Rogers was a legit competitive lifter. He wouldn't win the test of strengths, he'd lose and then do some euroish chain to break the knuckle lock.. After Regal and the tag match, selling Helmsley's offense as being a savage beating just doesn't work. Also if Trish Stratus and Batista are going to be doing Spinebusters, Helmsley needs to drop it out of his offense.

Helmsley also oversold everything Eugene did in the first five minutes. It might have worked if Eugene's offense was suppossed to be weak and Hunter was baiting him, but it's not and it was sold with way too much flopping around early on.

HHH/Eugene just had no flow. I guess it was sort've an odd match, because they had to book it in a couple of pieces: HHH gets surprised by Eugene's prowess; HHH resorts to fighting dirty; then whatever the finish is.

But it was all so slow, because, as the OP pointed out, there was no cohesion in the wrestling parts.

Orton looked like the kid in high school, ready to escort the hot cheerleader inside the prom, but trying to banter with the guys who were bumping Run DMC outside in their Oldsmobiles.

I know Bobby Eaton is washed up, but to compare him to Tomko is painful.
The interesting part of the Atlanta Street Fight would be whether Garvin and Stevie got into a cat fight prior to the match if they had somehow both worn the same dress.

No Tomko is no Bobby Eaton. Fuck Tomko is no Joey Maggs from the brief Maggs/Eaton version of the ME.

Still I'm just stoked that Condrey has returned from his dissapearance. Supposedly he's been training workers in Nevada.

And yeah the catfight goes without saying.

You know what i seems most ppl missed and i really thought someone would have said it on here. In a 2 hour show they had 3 matches!!! JEEZZZ!!!!! Yea i know someone will say 4 but I jus can't really count the Kane/Regal one as it really wasn't much.... And I am glad to see them trying to get some new women in the WWE but give it a rest on the wrestling show!

Luckily I had a good book handy so I got alot of reading done beween matches.....

Whatever

I went to the television taping on Wednesday only to find out that they were doing a houseshow this week instead of the normal taping for the Saturday night show.
