Got to the arena a little before 3pm with everbody already being there. Lillian Garcia came out and signed autographs.
-Watched Al Snow leave and come back.
-Watched Steve Lombardi, Harvy Wimppleman, and Jerry Lawler leave and comeback.
-Batista is HUGE! TV doesn't do him justice.

***HEAT SPOILERS*** -Steven Richards vs. Val Venis WINNER: Val w/ reversal into sitdown bomb. -maVen vs. Jobber WINNER: Maven w/ THE STROKE! -Garrison Cade vs. Shelton Benjimen WINNER: Shelton w/ Slam *******************
TOP POPS: Kane tearing appart Eric's office. Chris Benoit Euegene Y2J/Edge TIE
TOP HEAT: Evolution Kane
AFTER RAW: Beniot cuts a promo on Tripple H and uses his new catch phrase. I am "FOR REAL".
Also: Didn't expect the 20 minute elimination match but the LIVE crowd loved it. Benoit left in gear from the arena. Lillian stopped as she was pulling out and signed more autographs. Security was tight and telling everbody to leave. Vince had a police escort. Thats about everything from the Nuttercenter in Dayton. Apparently you all in TV land didn't enjoy it to much. Also I morn the death of the V1 character because there wasn't any typing it just went to the titantron video :'(
Ok, since the PPV thread is so old I'm going to post the odds and end notes from the PPV.
LIVE BAD BLOOD Notes
Doors opened about 6:15pm. Local radio had a meet and greet with the returning maVen. Also Coach came out for a while and did an interview with a radio station. The live crowd seemed pretty dead during the whole show. Makes RAW a totally differnt world. Great match between HBK and HHH. I didn't expect it to go THAT long. Anyways it there weren't any after thing. Some guy stood out in a thunderstorm waiting for everbody after the show. Apparently Lillian saw him and told him about it a RAW. That guy was crazy to be standing out in storm but I guess you do what you gotta do if you are a TRUE wrestling fan.
As far as the cameras being there and not being "known" I wish they would have the old GTV stuff still. Hidden camera catching everything, instead of obvious cameramen everywhere.
Pretty dull show for the most part save for the fantastic main event. One might even say the half hour elimination match was better than anything on the Bad Blood PPV, and we got the main event on RAW for free! Isn't that awesome ?!
So what's it going to be in the coming weeks and the Vengeance ppv (which I assume is RAW brand only)? HHH vs. Benoit? Or maybe Eugene vs. HHH vs. Benoit...I'm not that high on Eugene. I mean I think he's ok and his character is kind of funny but I don't think he should be wrestling in title matches or main events...or maybe he should be, because Dinsmore will probably never be as popular again as he is now. I was hoping it would be a Benoit/Edge world title match just to keep things different for a while...but maybe that one is getting saved up for Summerslam. Benoit and Edge had a fantastic match once on Smackdown, I wonder if given the chance they can top it in Toronto at Summerslam.

Y'know, something else that kind of made me smile:
Eric Bischoff showed his vast experience in dealing with temperamental professional wrestlers during his meeting with Kane. Kane turned around slowly, grabbed a chair, and Bischoff had already ducked before Kane even began swinging it. That's the benefit of experience, my friends-- Eazy E ain't no fool, no siree, he's gonna live to be a hundred-and-three.

And that's why he's still around, while Smackdown is currently on GM number three.
Originally posted by redsoxnationI don't believe the part that was the most insulting to the intelligence of the audience has been brought up yet: Unless they now sell pregnancy tests at the merchandise stands, Lita had to have a feeling she could be pregnant before she arrived at the arena, as she would have purchased one prior to her arrival. Wouldn't it have made sense for her to take the test before the match, as she would be facing an opponent who has used kicks to the stomach as an offensive manuever in the past, and in an intergender match no less, where a male who throws kicks could hit her in the womb? At least if she took the test before the match, she could try to get out of the match, or attempt not to tag in. But, if they are going to have sloppy writing in one angle, let it be here, rather than in an angle that actually has potential not to suck.
Unfortunately the sloppy writing on Monday didn't just effect this angle but made the new women champ and therefore the division look insignificant (well more so then it already was)
I actually don't really mind the Lita/Stacy "Hey between me and you" in front of the camera. Whenever I see a backstage skit I always take is as we are eavesdropping at what's going on... The one time that I did find it strange was a couple of weeks ago, Lita and Matt were outside their locker and Todd Grimson asks for an interview as Lita says "Not right now, her and Matt wants some privacy" As Todd leaves, the camera stays rolling. I found that difficult to accept. I thought the writing was trying to be way too cute for there own good on that occassion
I've seen some Day time soaps and wrestling writing is much smarter then the Afternoon soaps who has people constantly talking aloud to themselves about their feelings or my personal new favorite thinking aloud to themselves. WWE hasn't really done that yet, so check mark for The E... But Raw at times do strange things in pushing the boundaries of suspended disbelief. I remember during Kane/Shane feud Kane was backstage telling us what will happen to Shane in their ambulance match and we get a dream sequence from "Shane's" perspective from the stretcher and ambulance.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory stays at BLUE alert - Guarded (With Benoit & Eddie being World & WWE champions you'd expect all's be right but couldn't do it due to Trish/Y2J character switches & whats the deal with JBL PPV main event)- 5/6
If you ask me, that's why books will always be better than TV, because books allow you to get into the minds of the characters without relying on some contrived gimmick like the ones you just mentioned.

"People would LOVE Regal as a face...until he got in the ring for any significant length of time. Then they'd remember that one of the main reasons they hated him was because of his slow, boring style."
Except if he were a face he'd be taking punishment for much of the match, meaning many good facial expressions and enough energy saved for a big rally at the end of the match. In-ring he'd make a perfectly servicable face-it ws when he was called upon to fulfil heel duties and put out long stretches of offence that he fell apart.
Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.
