Great minds think alike! In this thread I talked about how Chuck and Billy should get an anti-diva sort of person to complete the package. From OO's Smackdown Spoilers:
Billy and Chuck talk backstage to their new stylist, who accompanies them to the ring after commercial. I didn’t recognize the guy, but he must be an indie worker because he interfered in their tag title match against the Hardys, helping Billy and Chuck to retain the titles.
If this is a continuing thing, sounds like EXACTLY what I was talking about. Okay, maybe not exactly. lol. But close!
I used to think like that, but Rico will be on TV more than Raven and KANE combined!
January 4th 1999 - The day WCW injected itself with 10 gallons of Liquid Anthrax...AKA...The day Hogan "Defeated" Nash to win the WCW title in front of 40,000.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised they put Rico with Billy and Chuck... he does have a sterotypical hair dresser name. I just hope they don't change his last name to "Suave"...

I thought Mike Sanders would be perfect for their manager/stylist. He's excellent on the mic, and supposedly can do a great "gay voice" (I heard that somewhere, throught a website with an unnamed source, take it for what it's worth).
Poor Rico, The WWF writers screw you over because your too old to them. So you get to be a stylist for Chuckabilly.

Poor Rico? The guy gets to be on TV every week with the current tag champs...what more could he ask for? He'll get face time, TV time, exposure...yes, in a lame ass gimmick no doubt...but still beats setting up the ring in Louisville or Cincinnati.
And just think...the inevitable face turn when he superkicks Chuck through a plate glass window could be at his own salon as opposed to some generic barber shop!
Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?
A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

Damn. Where's Sherri Martel when you need her?
Dude, you haven't even SEEN SmackDown yet. Why don't we all give it a chance before writing it off...?

This would totally rock, IMHO.

I'm practicing negative visualization.
No, I just think that the Billy&Chucky thing would be a real hoot with a domineering female manager. Someone to smack them in the back of the head when they get all goofy.
Besides, the WWF track record with gimmicks is for shit.
After having seen the bit with Rico, I'm not too terribly concerned. Since his character isn't overtly "gay", when he splits off from Chuk and Billy, he can just be an arrogant, self loving heel, a time tested and proven gimmick. I don't think this current story will limit his career potential at all.
I would have loved it if Lenny had come out as the Stylist with Lodi as his assistant.

Dude...he's a male stylist. Everyone with half a brain knows that's the international film signal for homosexuality.
This is unbelievably stupid crap. I will even utter the ultimate in negative reviews: this is Vince Russo-like crap. Eventually, it will merely be boring crap.
Who comes up with this stuff? Idiots!
I said it before, I'll say it again: any heat that Billy&Chucky had came from the fact that they're not only DUMB, but they're dumb AND stuck on themselves.
The gay thing was a superfluous, incidental detail in the Billy&CHuck thing. Now it becomes the focus. God, that's just the worst, laziest kind of button-pushing writing. Hey, maybe we could bring back the Iron Sheik and get that let's-hate-foreigners angle going, too! Gays, foreigners -- wrestling fans LOVE that stuff, don't they?
Billy & Chuck are "over" due to the fact that they are effeminate, cheat-to-win heels. It has nothing to do with being dumb or "stuck on themselves", which they have never been portrayed as. Admittedly, they've toned down the gay aspects of the gimmick recently, but it's still there. And if that's what gets them over, then fair enough. Adding Rico adds to both the effeminate and cheat-to-win aspects of their gimmick, as well as giving them a bit more presence and presonality. Personally, I think it's a great idea. Rico showed some good character on Smackdown, and he looks to be in really good shape. He'll add heat to everything Billy & Chuck do, too, so it's win-win.
While the Rico thing is lame I don't see how it is a slap in the face. As others have said he gets on T.V. and gets paid. This isn't Ric Flair we are talking about here just some indy guy who most people have never heard of. I am glad that it appears that managers are on the comeback at least temporarily. Managers are always good heel heat and make it easy to set up feuds. Throw some of the good wrestlers like Storm, Christian, and Raven who aren't doing shit give them a manager and name them something and you get instant plots and recogonition. Of course VKM would need to actually let any new stable win some matches and a belt and then hold it for 3 to 4 months but maybe after the split it might happen. Most likely though it will all be forgotten by May.
