PAS: Victoria has looked really stinky as a face lately, but this was easily her best face match. Crowd was completely silent, but the work was good, and I really dug the split legged beating.
TKG: Jazz really controled offense here letting Victoria get her quick stuff in off bottom rope hotshot and powerslam. Nice. But they stacked all the Canadians into the opening match so crowd was DEAD. Rick Michaels is a real nice addition to WWE staff as I really liked Jazz' new ring jacket. Did they hire David Young to do make up? The herpes sore on Kane's lip really helped to get accross the Lita angle. Nice work by the Messiah of the Spinebuster.
PAS:Matt Hardy v. Garrison Cade was the Heat offer match of the night, and was really fun. I loved the punch exchange and the big bump Cade took. Another 10 minutes and this would have made a fine OMEGA main event. Easy match of the night.
TKG: Hardy with nice punches, Cade with nice punches and eats stuff real well. They need to give these two more time. Weird use of both guys. Is this Hardy's first win? I mean Cade works an angle with Rock, is protected from eating the pin in a tag match against the world champ...and then he gets pinned by Lanny Poffo version 2K4. Odd booking, but fun too short match up.
PAS: Trish makes a fine Tammy Stych, although that seems an unwise person to emulate. Tomko blows his kick again, and he is the worlds shittiest Brian Lee, which is a really telling statement.
TKG: Trish was pretty good as SMW era Tammy. Hey Christian used to work a crybaby gimmick, didn't he? Christian is a fine Candido and Eugene is a much better Boo Bradley. Unfortunately Kane is a shitty Prince Karris and Helmsley is an embarrassingly indy version of Budro. For what its worth, HBK is fine as a poor man's Bobby Blaze.
What Didn't Work
PAS: Goddam did this show suck ass. I think Helmsely is booking Eugene as top RAW face. Man is he insecure, he feels threatened by a midget so he has to undercut him with a retard.
PAS: WWE celebrates Memorial Day by having anti-war French Canadians win the tag belts and get a huge face pop. Benoit gets booed in Canada and looks really shitty, strikes didn't look good, and his sharpshooter looked 90's Rock bad.
TKG: Not only anti war French Canadians going over but long segments built around military deserter Orton. I don't care how much Vince growls when he says DE-ATH, still doesn't forgive this show. The booking of this match was just stupid but even if booking is stupid deliver me a match. This match stank as the fake Canadian really looked like only guy who actually knew how to wrestle. Benoit's sharpshooter has been looking really shitty lately. Part of me wants to blame Michaels, as it was pretty clear that Michaels can't eat a sharpshooter so he started applying it in this really oddly loose way. But damn it looks shittier than Continental era Gordy's.
PAS: Golly did Orton v. Benjamin suck balls. Orton breaks out all of his experimental arm bars and long sections of the match they look ill prepared to be out there. Plus Orton blows the removal of the turnbuckle as time stands still. Finish was nicely put together but kind of poorly executed. PPV will be ugly.
TKG: Liked Benjamin's opening roll up, and thank God he got up and didn't lay there any longer, but fuck this was shitty. For "legend killer" vs. "everybody's homeboy"....Justin Credible vs. Chilly Willy smoked this.
PAS: Top face Eugene gets to both outwrestle and no-sell the offense of the guy challenging for the belt. Then Beniot is unable to take down Kane, while Eugene could take him down at ease. Really feels like they are going to go ahead and pull the trigger on the 3-way and put the belt on Eugene while Helmsley goes and makes his movie.
Originally posted by ScottChristCade/Hardy was the easy match of the night and might end up winning match of the week unless Batista and Val tear it up on Heat.
Wait, we still have SD to go ( ::snicker:: ). Maybe Velocity will give us something, especially if they let Knoble tear it up w/ another cruiser.
I find it interesting how a WWE.com article regarding the walkout (and which young Superstars could benefit from the added TV time from the minimized roster)
