I knew there was SOMETHING about that country I didn't like.
Oh, and about the "clean look" comment, I didn't mean he was wide open, but he certainly didn't have someone basically draped over him. And if nothing else, it was a MUCH cleaner look than Duncan's. You have to give me at least that much.

Bird made friends with Magic a long time ago. Isnt it about time you stopped hating the Lakers, too?? :)
Remember how deep the despisal of the Lakers is: Back in '82 when Philly won a Game 7 at the Garden, they serenaded the Sixers late in the game with Beat L.A. And of course, it was Magic who begged Bird for friendship No one ever saw Larry wear a Lakers shirt, but Magic wore a Celtics shirt under his Lakers warm-ups at Larry Bird Night in February of '93. On the question of moving the ball to halfcourt: Rule change 2-3 years ago allows it to move to halfcourt on 20 second time-outs as well. As for why its moved to halfcourt: Better chance for an exciting finish.
(edited by redsoxnation on 14.5.04 2355) These are desperate times. And desperate times call for desperate measures. Thus, its time to break out the Cubs/White Sox/Red Sox call to put the Kaiser back on the throne.
Chauncey Billups shot may have even surpased Dereks glory a mere 24 hrs and 3 OTs later, had the Pistons won tonight...
That was a half court miracle.
This years second round is one of the most exciting and unpredictable rounds of playoff basketball in NBA history! Across the board there have been "moments" in every series.
Oh, and I'm a moron? Who's the one counting down wins untill Sacto wins a phantom title???

If that's true, then the terrorists truly have won!

... I called Lakers in 6
... Yeah, I'm bragging a little. After a night of celebration, complete with smoking two victory cigars (no small task for a guy who doesn't ordinarily smoke) and drinking an OBSCENE amount of bubbly -- I'm feeling pretty good about the Lakers' chances. Unfortunately, the win last night pumped me up so much that I haven't slept yet.

... As much as it pains me to say it, RSN, you're dead right on that point.

HA! Even if Fisher's shot infuriated you, you have to give it up for the BEST LINE EVER he gave on the Tonight Show (via ESPN.Com) :
Fisher appeared on "The Tonight Show" this past week to talk about the incredible buzzer beater against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5.
Fisher informed Jay Leno, "You know what else you can do in 0.4 seconds? Hit the fast-forward button on the TiVo and go right past your monologue."

Just so you guys know: 75% of this crap [you read on the internet] is made up, either by the writer, or the wrestler the writer is getting the dirt from. Just so you know. -- Statement by "Tammy Sytch", from Hyatte's Dec. 29th column ... Lest we forget.
I've been a Grizz fan since their days in Vancouver (I was young, and I wanted to be a fan "from the beginning", and the Grizz were an expansion team, so I latched on to them).
