Another good episode. I thought that Aceveda was going to kill Juan, but it turns out that he had an even better plan. Benito Martinez should get recognized come awards season, because he's done some outstanding work the past few weeks.
Shane and Vic are clearly on a collision course. This whole "not telling him about the new money location" thing is going to backfire. It was ingenious, however, how they gave the rest of the marked money away. I just hope that the feds go after the bank guy.
David Mamet directs next week. Could life get any better? I submit that it cannot!
Gravity is a contributing factor in nearly 73 percent of all accidents involving falling objects.
I'm just glad they finally caught the cuddler rapist. I was getting tired of that storyline, although it looks like its going to drag out for at least one more week. Good to see the dark side of Aceveda, now to see how it affects the City Council run. Vic and the Strike Team cutting Shane out of loop will totally come back to haunt them, just remains to be seen how badly. I can't believe how many great storylines they have going on this season.
I'm thinking that the whiz kid detective will be just one more thing that causes Dutch to finally go over the edge while he's interrogating the cuddler rapist. Claudete will be on her date, and thus not there to keep Dutch from snapping and taking a phone book to the guy.
My personal favorite moment was when Corrine (sp?) was trying to take the high-road with regards to her dating Owen & his teaching Matthew, & then Vic just calling her bluff & saying "good, that's how I want it".
Her face afterwords, basically saying "that's not how that was supposed to work out", was priceless...

It could if he was writing. I prefer his writing to his screen direction.
In any case, more great, great stuff this week. Dutch Jr. was a big delight, and Aceveda was pretty great in that interrogation scene. "You're too stupid to change a light bulb, you expect me to believe that you know how to download?" Also, a great resolution for dealing with the marked money problem. This show is kicking all kinds of ass this season.
I think that Mini-Dutch was just a clever way to poke fun at Dutch's character. I love Dutch's character, but my first thought was, "Oh, no, there are two of them?"
I think that the best scene of the night was Acevada's "procuring" of Juan's girlfriend. You could see her get increasingly scared through the car ride, Acevada's silence, Acevada not answering his phone, etc. The line "Tell me everything you know about Juan Lozano...starting with where I find him." was absolutely awesome. Roy, Benito should get some recognition, as you said, for he deserves it. Great episode.
By the way, if I am not mistaken, that was Mamet's real life wife playing the cuddler's wife.
I bet the actor in the commercial knows. Also, probably the director of the commercial, some of the actor's friends, his wife if he happens to have one... Did you mean anyone *here*?
