When it came out, I bitched about how almost every title in Midway Arcade Treasures was from one of their previous compilation packs, and how they'd had so many more games to choose from.

Apparently, someone was listening to me.

Featured games in MAT2, coming to all consoles at $19.99 this fall:

* A.P.B.
* Arch Rivals
* Championship Sprint
* Cyberball 2072
* Gauntlet 2
* Hard Drivin'
* Mortal Kombat
* Mortal Kombat II
* Mortal Kombat III
* NARC
* Pit Fighter
* Primal Rage
* Rampage World Tour
* Spy Hunter 2
* Steel Talons
* STUN Runner
* Timber
* Total Carnage
* Wizard of Wor
* Xenophobe
* Xybots

NARC, Xenophobe, STUN Runner, Gauntlet 2, APB, Arch Rivals and WIZARD OF MF'ING WOR in a compilation? I'm there.

Woo hoo! And it's coming to the Cube too ... I was worried about that.

Man, I used to love Xenophobe and Primal Rage when they were in the arcades, and having the first three Mortal Kombats will be a nice treat as well.

Never played Wizard of Wor before (hey, that rhymes) but any game that features dialogue like "If you destroy my babies, I'll pop you in the oven" is definitely worth a look in my book!

EDIT: I didn't even notice Rampage or Arch Rivals ("IT'S SLAM DUNKIN' TIME!") on there; man, this is gonna be sweet!

This does sound like an amazing buy for $20. I'm not familiar with Wizard of Wor. What makes it so awesome?

EDIT: A three second google search would have cured my ignorance. A link: http://www.klov.com/W/Wizard_Of_Wor.html

APB? That's worth $20 to me alone. Everything else is just gravy there.

Friggin' NARC?! Sounds like a sweet little package. Although including the Mortal Kombats decreases the value of the entire thing somewhat.

I say, compilation packages should be where its at now. Street Fighters, Castlevanias, Marios... my God, these companies should just compile old games, THEN I'd buy their fancy new systems.

Hell, I'd even buy an X-Box despite all those Tom Clancy games... well, no, maybe not. Bleh.

About 5 years ago on the Saturn there was a Street Fighter compilation. I picked that up right away. I do wish they would release it on the newer systems.

A VS. compliation would be sweet too. I have to break out the Saturn and Dreamcast to play those.

This looks great. I was so disappointed that Ninja Gaiden didn't have the arcade version as a easter egg. I would pay $20 just for an arcade perfect port of Mortal Kombat 2. Capcom has some kind of compilation coming out. I believe it was supposed to come out with SF III.

MOOOOORTAL KOMBAAAAAAAT!

Actually, the arcade-style versions of both MK and MK2 oughta rock the house. The SNES and Genesis versions simply didn't compare.

I think I've heard of NARC, but I'm drawing a blank here.

Nonetheless, mark me down as sold, just for the two old-school MK games. Finally I can tear my face off, burn someone to a crisp and look damn good doing it.

Man... I'd even rather play whatever the last Fatal Fury sequel was than Mortal Kombat. And Fatal Fury just got old... damn that Geese Howard for like the fiftieth time.

I'm STILL, to this day, shocked that blood and digitized characters made something so popular.

I never got around to buying the first Midway compilation, but I'm definitely getting this one for sure. Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, Arch Rivals and Primal Rage are my reasons. I'll finally get to play NARC. It's one of those side scrollers where you kill drug dealers and junkies in the war on drugs. Some of the junkies throw needles at you apparently. Pit Fighter should be just as asstastic as it originally was. A shame there's no online play. They should really configure that.

On that list I saw Mortal Kombat II (my personal favorite in the series) and decided that I'm getting this disc. Gauntlet is always good for some fun. Looking forward to trying out some OS goodies once again.

I'm all for the non-heralded games, like APB and Total Carnage. I'm upset Journey wasn't in there, but beggars can't be choosers.

Nice lyric post. Just wish they did include Journey complete with "How to Mullet" kit

I hope they add all the sweet features like the game history, instructions, developer interviews, etc like they did with 1st collection. Let's bump up the video quality though guys its a CD/DVD game disc for god sake.

Now the MK and MK2 versions had BETTER have the ARCADE music and sound effects. I Have been searching EVERYWHERE for that and the closest I can come to that is Mame, and that runs pretty shitty on my PC.

I'm buying that. I may even shell five bucks out to EB games and reserve the friggin game.

Man, I'm *SO* there. I don't own a PS2 yet...but that compilation is enough to convince me to purchase one.

I wonder if the easter eggs from the Genesis version of MK would make its way onto this compilation.

Of course, MK3 is a decent game, but why not put Ultimate MK3 on it instead? Or MK Trilogy? MK3 isn't much of a game compared to the two sequels to it.

If anything...Arch Rivals? Duuuuuuuude!

SD2: April, Year 3; what's the point to the Career mode, anyhow?
FF7: Disc 1; 4h into game; Cloud...bodyguard, hero, crossdresser?!?
FF8: Disc 4; 42h into game; The gang against Adel (and Rinoa?!??!).
FF9: Disc 1; 6h into game; Hunting down Dagger after she drugged me!

Back from vacation...but I want MORE!
