I assume this is a pirated piece of software (or even Photoshopped), but ... Super NES games on the PS2?

Just so you guys know: 75% of this crap [you read on the internet] is made up, either by the writer, or the wrestler the writer is getting the dirt from. Just so you know. -- Statement by "Tammy Sytch", from Hyatte's Dec. 29th column ... Lest we forget.

That's just some Photoshop work. The use of type on the back cover is terrible - it's too big and it goes way too close to the borders and overuses a cheesy glow effect. (If this was real, the Famicom in the background would be at a much lower opacity to avoid the problem entirely). The Super Nintendo logo is blurred and at a much lower resolution than the rest of the package. And Sony would never allow any of the Playstation 2 logo to be covered by character sprites.

""[The word] liberal derives from the Latin 'liberalis' - of freedom, befitting the free. Synonyms are progressive, broad-minded, unprejudiced and generous; while antonyms include reactionary, narrow-minded, intolerant and stingy. Accordingly, a political liberal is an open-minded person who considers all the arguments before drawing conclusions. A conservative, on the other hand, clings to one position and sees no reason to entertain diverse viewpoints because he already has his mind made up. Are mainstream media 'liberal'? I certainly hope so."

That would've been an AWESOME product.

It could be a jacket for a priated disc full of Super Nintendo games.

I've played my friends X-box that he bought with aobut 300 Jaguar, Turbografix, and gensis games on the HD. It's amazing what you can find on eBay.

Plua if ir was real, it'd be on a dvd disk, yet the logo on the bottom back says Compact Disk so there's proof there.

Actually, it's amazing what you can find in Asia. I remember walking through a mall in Bangkok and seeing a computer store. I decided to check it out. EVERYTHING was pirated. Every piece of software! Windows XP --200 Baht(5 bucks). I saw some stuff that I didn't even think was out yet. I bought Morrowind(horribly printed box art and cd cover) and it amazingly worked. But I deleted the game anyway(it didn't work THAT well!).

In game shops, I saw all sorts of weird "consoles". They were selling what looked like prototypes(I've seen pics on the internet of types of them, but can't find any now). And of course, you can't get any honest information out of these people. They had tons and tons of those 1000 games in one cartridge crap too.

I was just amazed that these stores were in malls! I mean I could see them next to the ripped DVDs on the streets, but in the malls!!

Not really, no. Not all PS2 games come on DVD. I'm looking through my games right now, and the larger ones (Vice City, Fight Night) have the DVD ROM logo, while Crazy Taxi has a Compact Disk logo.

My buddy has a dreamcast CD full of Nintendo games, and the compact disk has a cover like the one shown in the first post. Whoever made it put a lot of care into it. He picked it up from an import store, who, I assume, picked it up from EBay or overseas or somewhere else. I've never seen a SNES emulator for the PS2, but a weekly flea market around here occasionally has Genesis and NES games on PS2 and XBox disks. I've never seen a Gamecube copy, though. Maybe those are harder to make pirated stuff for?

True dat...ask Spaceman Spiff about laserdisc releases of Star Wars episodes IV-VI burned to DVD (w/ Dolby Digital surround sound even...kinda), pirated in Thailand.

Not that I'd own anything of the sort, mind you...

It's more than likely just SNES-Station and a bunch of ROMs burned to a CD, though the bit about it only running on PAL systems seems odd. Unless there's something different about the way you have to burn CDs for European SNESes, I don't know why it wouldn't be compatible with PAL and NTSC both.
