It is well documented that many of today's stars started off or first gained recognition as one-half of a tag team. Their ability was able to thrust these teams into credibility while carrying a vessel of suck as a partner (IE, Harlem Heat, Hart Foundation, Steiners, etc.) Sometimes however, though one partner moved on to bigger and bigger things, the other partner was not always lacking in talent or ability (Marty Jannetty, Jeff Hardy, etc.)

Why should a tag team get so much credit when only one of the wrestlers is even worth anything. Leave some of these wrestlecrap worthy "talents" as a singles wrestler, they would be nothing but indie scene or jobber worthy. Lets take a look at some of these teams;

Harlem Heat:

Boy, is this team overrated. Best tag team in history my arse! I don't care how many titles they won. Their winning a title is like hitting a homerun when the ball is juiced upped. Why all the love? Stevie Ray, other than a catchphrase or two has got nothing. No look, below average build (He is just big. No defined muscle mass.), and absolutely zero ability. Booker is good, Stevie Ray sucks. Thank heavens that Stevie Ray had little brother's coattails to ride on.

Public Enemy:

This joke of a tag team sucked, sucked, and sucked even more. They had no wrestling ability. They did not have they look. They were old. They were nothing but jobber worthy. The only saving grace of this so-called "team" was Rocco Rock,r.i.p. This man deserves props. He took insane bumps and was one of the first true hardcore wrestlers on a national level.

Johnny Grunge SUCKED big time. There is nothing good about Johnny Grunge. His best assets were that he was OLD, FAT, and UGLLLLLY. May the suck be with him forever.

These are two teams that come to mind. Can You think of anymore?

You're a real card, Hallmark.

Hoohoohahha! Oh man, I'm crying. Think about it.

And as for weak tag-teams, uh...how about X-Factor?

X-Factor? Are you talking about the incarnation consisting of X-Pac, Justin Credible, and Albert? Haven't seen enough of them to have a take. Were they even around long enough to do anything of significance?

I know that X-Pac is most well known for the X-Pac sucks chants. But X-Pac is a very capable wrestler. He's agile in the ring. He has decent aerial skills. His kicks and punches are pretty smooth. He sells for the opponent. People may not like X-Pac but ability wise he does not suck.

Don't know much about Justin Credible. Didn't see him much. Saw him as Aldo Montoya and he was more athletic than many of the stiffs that have gotten bigger pushes. He can't be too much more better than X-Pac.

Albert. I don't think he should be pushed and shouldn't have gotten some of the pushes he has gotten. He's just a big guy with a decent scissors type kick. He shouldn't be pushed as a monster because though he is big, he does not have a Batista type physique. Yeah, he has body hair but he is but there are high school footballers more rocked up than him.

I don't think any of the guys in X-Factor were leaps and bound better than the other.
