My sister-in-law TOTALLY knows this guy.

Or *he* knows *her*.

OR perhaps I'm only paying attention to the IMs I WANT to pay attention to, and embellishing a lot.

her: there are A LOT of guys who look like that in Seattle

See? She TOTALLY knows him!

Maybe it's because I am less than broke. (I have -$6.57 in the bank.) But did anyone else notice the current bid? $500.100.00. Obviously someone is funnin' around.

Actually now it looks like it's just $1 shy of $100 million. Hilarity on all fronts. I just hope he doesn't try to seriously collect the money.

it says so right here in the wcw handbook!

It's up over $300K. I like how eBay needs you to have a valid credit card and verify your adderess before oyu can bid over $15,000. Hopefully it will keep the prank bidding down.

Dude is on the Today Show right now. Guy's name is Larry Star and he's very funny. He's not as funny as the Today Show people are trying to tell us he is, but he's getting by on hacky material and pure charisma. He'll be on those VH1 panel shows by next week.

The Today Show?
Wow, talk about Instant Celebrity!
Do you think this guy had any idea on Friday when he posted the auction that he'd wind up on national TV by Wednesday?
I guess William Hung from American Idol has to hand over his 15 minutes of fame to the ebay Wedding Dress guy.

"Is there a sister? I asked him yesterday.

"Let's just say we took some liberties," Star said.

OK then. No sister.

And the ex-wife?

"You're digging?" Star asked.

Yes, and it seems there's actually two. The first, Jill, married him on May 22, 1994. They separated on Oct. 12, 1996, and divorced on Jan. 13, 1998.

As for the other, the one who owned the dress, the one with the "Texas cheerleader hair" and the "drunken sot" of a father?

"No contact with the ex-wife," Star told me. "But she is in-state and I am sure I will get contacted because it is astronomical the way this thing has taken off."

For the record, her name is Janell. Star married her on March 2, 2000, in Bath, England.

Their son was born in 2000. "

If you have a Target, K-Mart, or some nat'l chain store along those lines, they usually have a good selection of put-it-together-your-own-damn-self entertainment centers. Usually plywood...but usually priced pretty reasonably.
