Lesnar's apperance was just fantastic. He is such a monster. It was a huge surprise to see Paul E. out there with him. I was thinking the same thing about the Hardcore title though. They just went to commmercial, and the match was over. I thought that was weird.

Lesnar definitely looked like a monster. Ugly mo-fo, too. Having Heyman be the mouthpiece is a great idea because 1) Heyman cuts some of the best heel promos around, period and 2) Without a heel manager to establish him, Lesnar's gigantic ass-kicking act will get him face heat right off the bat. Face it, the crowd loves a guy who kills everything that moves (see: Goldberg). Come to think of it, giving Lesnar a monster winning streak might not be a bad way to build him up hard and fast.

If he had destroyed all in the ring AND pinned Maven for the Harcore title, then apart from it occurring in the ring, it would be the same debut Rhyno made-- and that went quite well. I thought.

Lesnar looked amazing. I don't think you could have watched him dismantle Spike Dudley without developing sympathy bruises and broken bones for the little guy.

Who cares that he didn't win the Hardcore title.

Did anyone else hear the crowd's reaction when Lesnar threw Spike in the air and caught him in the powerbomb position? It reminded me of the reaction you hear for crazy stuff like trapeze artists or something...that audible buzz of anticipation.

I know this is a bandwagon sentiment, but I think the guy has star written all over him.

If someone was gonna get their asses kicked by Lesnar, why not beat up somebody who doesn't get beaten up frequently? Destroying Spike Dudley, Maven and Al Snow really isn't that much of an accomplishment, when you consider that all three of them, to some extent, are bump-taking machines

If he's playing the unstoppable monster, then he doesn't need a title. Beating him or even surviving is enough of a goal for his opponents. But he won't be unstoppable for long if he goes against the top stars, so for now he squashes jobbers and wins semi-competitive matches against guys like edge so he can build up momentum. It,s what they should have done with the big show, but instead he got to beat up Austin and next thing you know he's a five hundred pound jobber.

I was entertained. I follow the amateur scene and knew of Lesnar, but had never seen him since the NCAA's. Still a monster.

Don't know if it's just me, but I kinda missed someone doing the whole "monster no-selling" gimmick. And I don't mean like Hogan's "Hulk-up" or Taker's "lazy, slow selling." I mean the whole, you-just-got-drilled-by-a-chair-and-it-didn't-faze-you way of no-selling. Did I mark out when Spike came off with the ... kendo stick or whatever and Brock just shrugged it off? I'd be lying if I said no. Does that mean I was missing Goldberg? Maybe.

And I totally felt the "buzz" from the crowd when Brock dead-weighted Spike into the powerbomb position. Just nasty. I'd rather see his powerbomb than Taker's "I fuck it up half the time" Last Ride.

All in all, I liked it. Well-done segment. I look forward to seeing Lesnar again, which is probably the goal of the WWF--get people wanting to see more of him. I'm excited for him and hope he succeeds.

I agree also, he looked damn good. Big and strong but not in a fake way, like HHH. I'm not SAYING Trip is on the juice, but they just look diffirent. I wonder if they'll just call him "Brock" or make up some dippy name.

For those of you who missed RAW and don't know what Lesnar looks like, here's a pic, stolen of course from WWF.com

Heh, call him "Brock"...naw it's too easy, if ya smell what I'm cookin'

I'll throw my hat in the "I like Lensar's debut" circle. It was totally unexpected, brutal, and impressive. Of course lifting spike like he was nothing shouldn't be that hard for a guy his size (Doesn't take away from those three powerbombs though!) Now all they need to do is make sure they give it some decent play time on smackdown along with Lensar's next attack. Hopefully with Paul at the mic, he'll go pretty far.

My only real problem with him...his total and complete lack of an actual neck! I mean jeebus! I thought some of the other wrestlers were bad. This man's literally "heads and shoulders" above the rest.

EDIT: Stupid message board! Make post look bad! Grrrr....

lol, yep that's damn true, the man has no neck. but damn he is huge. I watched that clip again from the WWF site, and he is a monster.

I understand that he's a former amateur wrestler like Kurt Angle. But I don't think Angle wants any parts of that. He's like a super-duper heavyweight. Maybe they can team-up, that would be interesting.

You could arugue that he didn't pin Maven because he isn't "officially" in the WWF.... Ross did say he was the "hottest free agent", thus meaning he wasn't affiliated with the promotion yet.

Just a thought....

Angle as the dorky shooter with Brock as his silent-but-violent second man would rock, IMO, and both guys would get over.

This is a question for British fans (and ~DEAN~, if he's lurking anywhere)-does anyone else see the shocking resemblance between Brock and The Anarchist Doug Williams?

Nah, he didn't snap his leg on the way to the ring. And Sid had some form of neck.

Happy birthday!

I feel like a dumbass, and I know it's cliche to say this but it's true: I thought Lesnar was Goldberg for about 1.68 seconds as he stood at ringside. My jaw dropped.

I'VE GOT IT! Lesnar looks weird...he's beastial...he looks like a comic book character...

For those who missed the actual Raw, there's video of Brock's debut on WWF.com. Go to their Raw recap section and click on videos.

And I'll be honest... without having seen it, I was honestly thinking, "Sheesh, these guys have to be overreacting just a little." Then I saw the video. Oh... my.... GOD.

There's a few guys who have been playing in OVW/HWA and doing dark matches for a while now that are going to impress quite a few folks in the coming weeks with the roster split methinks. I haven't seen Leviathan on OVW tv since dropping the belt to the Prototype, so he's a good candidate to show up soon. Same for Rico Constantino and Watterman.

Prototype is feuding with David Flair right now and has a tag match with himself and I believe Sean O'Haire against David and Ric Flair in a few weeks, so I'm not sure if he'll show up too soon. I could easily be wrong tho.

Again skewing old, I remember a similar debut for Nikita Koloff.

I miss the old "hey, he doesn't work here" angle as a way to introduce workers.

----I was just thinking recently how guys like Lesnar and Prototype feel about Maven getting the instant TV exposure and status while they have been toiling in OVW/HWA.----

I think both Lesnar and Cena realise that it's best to hold off on the debut until the WWF is confident they can get it right, and they are brought in with a push. I don't think either of them fooled themselves about the type of exposure that was theirs once brought in and the kind that Maven was getting because of TE.

The WWF has huge plans for Lesnar and Prototype, while Maven is getting his 15 minutes and is a low-card attraction with no upside that this point beyond that.
