I don't know if he has addressed this, but why doesn't he do PPV recaps. Is there a certain reason for that?
"We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like that time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville; I needed a new heel for my shoe. So, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickle, and in those days, nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war; the only thing you can get was those big yellow ones..." -Abe Simpson
----------- WIENER OF THE DAY 03/01/02: The greatest day of my life.
I'm not in the intimate know and this thread probably ought to be in Recap Feedback, but good God, the man does Raw and Smackdown every week. Do you want him to expire at his keyboard? ;-)
Hell, my man, Chris is a smart, smart dude. It simply means he's not interested in dishing out $30-plus every month to watch something that could end up being a big, stinking pile of crap. Nor do I blame him-- WrestleMania two days ago was the very first wrestling PPV I ever saw live, and Rock/Hogan pretty much sold that for me.

To be fair...I think Chris GETS the PPVs, I just don't think he wants to recap them.
Without it coming straight from the lions mouth, as it were, I think it probably comes from the days when he was recaping RAW, Nitro, and Heat (and later -Heat, +Smackdown and Thunder) and didn't want to do PPVs. Now he's got a groove and there's no sense shaking it just to get a few extra page hits.
Or maybe he (gasp) actually wants to be able to enjoy the PPVs without having to put in that much more work. That could be it, too.
Heck, it's OK with me, because guest commentators such as Chris Fothergill-Brown tend to do the PPV recaps every month. And do one hell of a job, I might add.

Not to speak for Zed. But I remember a while ago asking him (and thecubsfan)how long a TV report takes to crank out and seeing how much detail he puts into each show and how much time it takes to do so, I guess it would take FOREVER to do your standard PPVs. Hey, a guy's GOTTA have a life other than the Net, right?
PLUS, we've got the Ultra Canuck (and my personal friend), BrewGuy, who's stepped up marvelously. His WX-8 live report should be up sometime today. Check for it.
Does CRZ make any money at all off of this board? If he does, it might be worth looking into doing at least a minor PPV update rather than rely on BrewGuy -- I'm not sure, but I think he'd be able to write the cost of his taxes. If he's getting the PPVs anyway, might as well try to go for the tax writeoff! lol
