I think Stewart's Diet Root Beer is about the best one going.

Yeah, but that's not EXTREME!

Diet Barq's is probably the best. I was surprised by Diet Mountain Dew (both kinds), but you have to like regular Mountain Dew FIRST, and lots of people don't. Come to think of it, SOME people don't even like root beer...hmmm. I also like Diet Cherry Coke and of course Diet Dr Pepper, but that's probably also another acquired taste.

I have to second this. As a type 1 diabetic, I drink only diet soda, and Diet Barq's is the clear winner. The only problem? My friends love it, too. I try to keep some regular soda on hand for company (usually Coke), but they'll skip that in favor of my Diet Barq's! And these are people that don't normally drink diet soda.
EWWWW. Drinking that stuff should be a Fear Factor challenge.
I keep trying that stuff thinking I'll give it another chance, but it still tastes HORRIBLE every time. My father loves the stuff, wears the T-Shirt, and goes to the festival in Lisbon (ME) every summer.
Originally posted by Mack SalmonSpeaking of Jones, they actually have made a decent tasting chocolate soda. So I guess I can just not bring up the lack of chocolate soda in the next thread.
Thanks to CRZ telling me about my own local Soda Pop Stop, I picked up a Jones Chocolate Fudge soda a couple weekends ago. It's like a Tootise Roll in a cola! Although it really isn't what I wanted in a chocolate soda. I guess I was expecting something richer in taste. I'll have to try mixing Yoo-Hoo and Pepsi again one of these days, I haven't done that in years...(sorry if you're grossed out).
I tried one of those new berry Sprite Remixes today. It's grape/blueberry-ish. It's almost like Welch's grape soda but not as grapey (okay, that was a bad description, sorry). It also reminded me of grape Bubbleicious.
I miss Pepsi Blue. I don't seem to see it as much anymore. Maybe as the summer approaches, it'll pop up again. Same goes with Mt. Dew Livewire. I'm still looking around for that.
Fox does it again. Another good show down the drain.
Originally posted by BroncolancheSo what's the verdict on Diet Coke with Lime? It's tastes. . .different. That's about the best way I can explain it.
As for the caffienated beverages that made their influx into the market last summer, I'll have to say dnL is my favorite.
I couldn't taste the Lime flavor at all, so all I was left with was Diet Coke flavor, which I detest.
