So, Lex takes a walk, after being Robs bitch for no reason. Now the game is pretty much set. I still, for the life of me, will never understand the "thinking" of these people. Everybody is afraid of Rob, when its Amber you need to get rid of, lose her, and Rob goes bezerkers and then you get rid of him next. Or vice versa. Either way, keeping them both around is basically giving Rob TWO votes, and everybody votes with him, because they dont want those two votes to have thier name on it.
Big ups to Kathy for having the balls to deny Lex, although the voting would have been MUCH more interesting with Lex having immunity.
I figure next week Kathy whines to everyone about Rob, and it's on like neckbone. I like Rupert's gameplan thus far, since we see very little of him stragegizing. Under the radar, my friends. Under the radar.
THE FLAMES: 42-30-7-3 for 94 points ROUND 1: Flames vs. Canucks starts Wednesday!
Nice face on Lex when Kathy said she would keep the immunity necklace. She could be very dangerous for Rob this week if she can stick enough burrs under people's saddles.
and Rob's Tribal Council speech was pathetic to listen to and I hope we don't have to keep listening to it each week as he continues to break his various agreements.
5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time Wiener of the Day Runner-up
Rob is the most pathetic character that's been on this show. He comes off like a 7th grader. He's a whiner and there's absolutely no way he could possibly get enough votes to win. Unless of course these people are as stupid as they appear on TV.
"Uh, gee Lex, I only said I'd TRY to help if I could, and sorry I can't." Lex is a bigger idiot.

If Kathy gave Lex the immunity necklace, I think its Shii-Ann that would have been booted. While Rob is a fuckhead, Lex kinda did the same things in getting Colby and Ethan voted out of the game too. The fuckhead outwits the dipshit this time.
Another thing about Rob, if you're one of the other players in the game don't you want to have him in the final 2 with you? Outside of Amber, who is gonna give him their vote? And if it is Rob/Amber as the final 2, you might see the first unanimous vote for a survivor winner in the shows history.

Good point there. He made this big deal last night about how he and Rob were supposed to be friends and you don't do that to friends. Isn't Rob's speech to Lex the same speech Lex gave to Ethan a couple of weeks ago? Lex deserved to go for being so stupid.

Exactly. Here's how Lex could've played it (a bit of hindsight after the fact, but still):
1. Boot Jerri off instead of Ethan....
2. Boot Amber out on her "smokin'" ass last week
3. This week Lex, Ethan, Kathy, and Shii-Ann go into the merge. Lex and Ethan can work Tom with their friendship from Survivor-Africa. Tom isn't the sharpest knife the draw and could've been convinced to switch alliances. Then in the following weeks, they could've then booted out Rob, Rupert, Alicia, and Jenna one by one.
I think Rob and Amber's "control" of the game is overrated. It wouldn't surprise me to see one of them get booted next week, though this bullshit "one man and one woman gets immunity" prize is CLEARLY designed by Burnett to make sure his lovebirds get a chance to both stick around.
If the finals are Rob and Amber, Amber is obviously winning. I don't see Rob taking her, so I think he will string along Shii-Ann or someone else worthless to prove that he was a better player.
A few random thoughts.... * Amy Acker really impressed me this episode. Ilyria is such an entirely different character from Fred that I forgot that it was even the same actress.
