What's new everyone? It doesn't look like a lot of people look over the NWATNA.com website, otherwise it may have been posted, if it has I apologize, but here it is anyway...
Apparently, there is going to be a full-length feature film on none other than the Stinger himself.
Sting announced it on TNA Xplosion and there are some details about the movie found in the article.
Personally, this is really interesting and really weird at the same time. I really liked Sting a lot growing up, especially during The Wars, although I mostly watched/had available WWF.
I guess only time will tell how this is going to turn out, but like I said, it will no doubt be interesting.
This would, I suppose, be perfect if there was an Oxygen-but-it's-wrestling channel. In the absense of that, though, I can't imagine where this would end up.
To be honest, though, I also can't imagine any wrestler about whom I'd be interested in seeing a "dramatic re-creation"-type movie.

Well, they might try for theatrical release, and when that doesn't work, it could be direct to video, like that movie with Jay Leno and Pat Morita, or anything Judge Reinhold has done lately.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!
(I'm told that, in the UK, my name is actually hilarious.)

What? You never saw the "Jesse Ventura Story" before?
Oh, wait, even if you did, I can't imagine this one would be any better.....

It's just going to be spread around the "Christian community", supposedly. No release or anything.
Hey, what was that other movie Sting was in a while back? THE REAL REASON ABOUT CATS AND DOGS... or something. I don't know. What was it? Someone? Anyone? Whatever it was, he wasn't bad.

Ohhh, the Christian tie-in thing makes sense. I'm going to guess that wrestling is going to be more of a backdrop than a driving force, in that case. (And I had forgotten all bout the Jesse Ventura thing, yeah.)
Oh -- movie that Sting was in -- the title had something to do with photography, right? Hang on, I'll look it up...
Christian movies do alright overall, such as the Omega Code, or Meggido, not to say they are huge blockbusters or anything, but they do hold their own and bring in more money than anything Corey Feldmen has done lately. Being a wrestler and a Christian, I'm going to enjoy it, as i think most Christian/wrestling fans would. The same way we are the main people who enjoy one of Ted Dibiase's Christian related events...minus Buff Bagwell always being at them.
When I leave this world, I want to go the same way I came in, naked, covered in goo, and screaming in fear! LAter God bless Mercer

Yeah, that's it! Haha, cats and dogs. I was way off.
I'm pretty sure it was this tiny local Atlanta production, and Eric Bischoff was a producer or something on it. I don't even think it made it to video, it just aired on PPV once and I watched it there. Hopefully the DVD release is on it's way.
Sting movie eh? I'm thinking ... PAX. Or TBN. Sandwiched between Benny Hinn shows. And you think people sell for Triple H, well just watch a Benny Hinn revival.
I hope they get someone to play HHH, the human incarnation of Satan himself, and have him in the background spitting watter as Sting goes through the many trials on his way to salvation.
The guy playing The Ultimate Warrior should have a bigger role, too, as someone who left Sting early in his carer to go onto a higher spiritual plane. He could show up in visions, calling upon Sting to pick up the mighty Sword of Pognagalon and strike down his demons.

I liked the two LEFT BEHIND movies, though. I thought they were really well done, abeit not true at all to the book series.
But back to the Sting movie...I think it could be really good, but I don't know if I'd watch it. Biography movies tend to suck.
