HOUSTON -- Former Houston Rockets star Calvin Murphy was charged Monday with five counts of indecency with a child, allegations that involve his children, prosecutors said.
Harris County District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal said his office has notified other jurisdictions about the charges here as an investigation into Murphy continues.
"He has a number of families around the country, according to our research," Rosenthal said.
Murphy's attorney Rusty Hardin and the Houston Rockets did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
Murphy, who works as a television analyst for the Houston Rockets, was a star guard for the franchise from 1970 to 1983. The Hall of Fame sharpshooter, who at 5-foot-9 was known as the "Pocket Rocket," had a career 89 percent free throw percentage and averaged 18 points a game.
The alleged indecency occurred in Harris County over a period of several years, Rosenthal said.

I just read on ESPN.com that this guy has 14 CHILDREN. GOOD LORD!!!!
In the story quoted above and in the story I read over at ESPN, the ages of the kids involved (other than to say they were under 17 at the time of the alleged abuse) aren't mentioned. interesting.
If all this is true: Damn. WTF.
If all this is NOT true: Poor guy. He'll always be known as "The guy who allegedly molested his own damn kids".
-Apparently, if someone came out with a line of "WWE nipple-slip" pornos, they'd make A FORTUNE
Okafor is 14/11 in his career, younger, and he didn't fail a physical in the past season. This seems like one of those Larry Brown falling in love, then out of love with a player situations.
